A few worrying signs when the early 14-0 lead quickly evaporated but the Tahs have earned their 4 try bonus point before oranges due to the Cheetahs' poor kicking options & very thin 2nd line of defence.

There's been some crunching tackles by TPN & Horne has been ever present at the frequent line breaks. With a 10 point lead there's plenty of holes in the Cheetahs' defensive line if the Tahs keep spreading the ball & not go into their shells.

Biggest positive so far has been the Tahs willingness to keep ball in hand and spread it wide. Much better lines from support runners too.

Mitchell looks like he needs to take a big hit, he is very gun shy which is understandable but a bit of a passenger at the moment.

That one hurt, at least we lost in a new way. 2 bonus points points mean the boys leapfrog the rebels though, so according to the rules of aus rugby were pretty awesome.

Wara-Tahs went into their shells second half. An absolute loser mentality.

All those held-up mauls really killed their attack as well.

Time for a well targeted cull of admin and coaching staff. Hopefully they have cut most of their deadwood players already for next year by now.

Both teams stepped up there defense in the second half, the Cheetahs much better than the Tahs, it wasn't as simple as the Tahs going into there shells, that's a pretty big simplification of it.

It is a simplification but that doesn't make it wrong. They were waiting for opposition mistakes and too scared to play to win.

They got beaten. The Cheetahs stepped it up in the second half, the half breaks the Tahs made that we're good in the first half became turnovers. We lost the breakdown and with it momentum. It wasn't a case of being in there shells it was a case of not adapting fast enough. Kicking was appropriate but they continued to isolate themselves more than they should have. I find your statement of "loser mentality" wrong. They tried to win it, a more apt term would be, "confidence devoid mistake drones" when closing out games.

Not using good tactics that would give them a decent chance.

It might be slightly insulting to be called losers but they certainly are losers; losing 9 out of 13 so far. If that's a real problem for them then they need to make changes to improve. But if being losers ain't a problem they should carry on as they are.

This mob could get bullied out of their lunch money by a 8 year old girl.
Individually, there were some good displays. collectively they suck.
The team greater is than a sum of it's parts? Not in tahland!!
You surely must acknowledge that with 7 losses of less than 6 points, this side has an issue with tight games?

The Tahs still possess an embarrassment of playing riches and have slid further down the Aussie super pole in 2012.
Hopefully they have bottomed out and will regroup well for next year.
The game was theirs to take midway through the first half.
They lack direction on and off the field and desperately need some major changes in playing personnel, coaching staff and most likely their administration.
I assume most will be named in the Wallaby squad of 40.......bit of a joke really.

So I'm just gonna take it that no one is actually going to discuss the game but only take parts of it that settle well with theories based on assumption. Fair enough can we get the heading changed to "what's wrong with the Tahs part 653"

Personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with the Tahs...

I think they're perfect the way they are, and hope they stay this way forever... ;)

maybe they're just very unlucky?

meh, what has happened to the Tahs defence? soft tries again

lack of structure in attack, lack of effort to support the ball carrier, lack of technique from the ball carrier.

Certainly an issue with something. Is that 3 or 4 by a point? Unbelieveable. It is a side that does not know how, as a team unit, to win when it comes to the championship minutes. They inevitably find the way to lose. They're getting close, because they have some talent. They're coming second most of the time because they have no nous.
Paarlbok said it - essentially there is a good group of players, in the main, and the changes to go to a winning team are not massive. The change in will at an administrative and coaching level to make them happen is huge.
