Would have been a lot more if the ABs had been at their best. Big gap still between the sides. Forwards lack the mongrel and timing of the blacks. Backs - pass it to Beale or Ioane and hope they do something magic still not working. Barnes is kicking for goal well, but passing game is average and kicks in general play not much better. Horne and Fainga'a look as likely to make a break as we do to turn this around and take the cup.

And that is the difference between NZ and Wales.

Yes, agree. Resting on our laurels because of a few close wins over an out of sorts Welsh team was just wrong, especially when it involved picking so many players who were struggling in SupeRugby before and after.

The question is, who will Deans do? Will he roll out the same team?

The ABs left A LOT of points on the park, and next week at home they will be more settled and ready, remembering the Wallabies have been together a few weeks longer.

I just can't see us touching them next week.

Random observations.

The "new" up and in defense was just that. New and not so slick.

Fainga / Horne - something is not right here.

Wallabies look terribly nervous. Is Pocock keeping them calm?

Most of all it's like that ad. You can't run without legs. Well you can't make headway if you get arsed behind the gain line. AB defense is ridiculous. Because they hit you back and you never get the chance to create space. Ugly.

This Black mob will not lose a game in 2012. Bastards.

When Aus has the ball with a few minutes to go, around halfway line. I got the feeling the ABs were just biding their time knowing they would isolate one of the Aus players. Aus forwards couldn't get from one ruck to the next let alone trying to get from one side of the field to the other.

Aus were very poor today and fitness played a big part in that. ABs just moved them around the pitch in the first half and tired them out making it easy to hold on to the lead in the 2nd 40. NZ won without having to go up through the gears which is worrying for Aus.

Aus lack of fitness will really be a factor against SA who'll look to do something similar and against Argentina who might be able to stay with them for long simply because the way to take the sting out of Arg is to do what NZ did to the Aus pack today. Can't see Aus being able to move Arg all over the park.

Aus need to make some changes in the backline, a lot of big names not performing. I'd say only Genia (no real competition) and Ioane (excellent performance in a misfiring backline) can feel their starting position is safe.

Still part of the magic of test rugby is that there can be a massive change in performance in just 1 week. Would expect at least 6-7 changes for next week's game. But Deans' loyalty to certain players might mean less.

I was impressed defensively with the Anthony & Horne, people were talking before the game that SBW & Nonu would have a field day. They didn't. They were not perfect but no where near as bad as some said they'd be. Of course I'm just clutching at straws at what was a pretty poor night from the Wallabies.

Agree regarding ABs to go 2012 undefeated, cannot see them getting beaten.

So they didn't play a kicking oriented gameplay, yet picked Barnes over Cooper?

I'm beyond sick of being so fucking frustrated at shit coaching, shit selections and just overall shitness of how we play.

I think they might drop a game to SA in SA.

Time for some new Aussie blood in this team - perhaps even a new coach ...(?)

Let's accept that we won't win this championship for a few years, pick some promising up-and-coming players who are prepared to give it a real go, and let them at it. What is the point in persisting with this current crew? I mean - Samo: great bloke, but what was he EVER going to do tonight that someone 10 years younger couldn't have done?

And let's leave the ref out of it. He did a good job.

So.lessons.

Catch the fucking ball.

Pass the ball onto the hands of the running player, not a meter behind him.

Catch the fucking ball. It's your job, dickhead.

Tackle the guy with the ball. I mean, just fucking TACKLE him. Like they taught you in juniors.

Have a plan in attack. Any plan would be good. Just get one.

Errors. You don't have an allocation. It's not ok to make them. You're the fucking Wallabies. You're meant to be the cream of the crop. Act like it.

Be fit. It's kind of a requirement for achievement In international Rugby.

Play your best players. Cooper in a suit in the crowd with Swisse Bieber? FFS.

Use your fucking bench. Especially when none of your forwards are fit. See above.

Intensity is about two things. Fast and Hard.

If you're going to get a tattoo You show ponies, get FAST on the back of 4 fingers and HARD on the other 4, then live it. It's like a Prison Tatt, earn it you fucking marshmallows.

I expect he will tinker off the bench, we will lose by a lot and that will be another year gone. Some crap about building, players learn a lot from this blah blah,
