The steak sandwich filled me up nicely.. I almost finished the chips too!

Managed to twist my ankle pretty badly on the way home, walked down the stairs at Artarmon station and was looking at the Thai shop when I missed the last step and CRACK! Ouch.
Geez, walking down stairs? That's almost as bad as soccer!

Have to agree, that beer was damn good. And the steak sandwich filled me up, but NTA certainly looks like a big, mean prop so I am keeping my mouth shut.

There seems to be some confusion between soccer and cycling here...

Well,.. I can reveal the mystery about the random scrubber grabbing a ride in your taxi Cyclo.. she was looking at moses and myself to get in the next cab and offer her a ride for free, but we nicely sent her on up to your cab given the black rings under her eyes and the lack of a wallet and slight stench. You didn't seem to mind too much !

The walk barefoot home from the station was a bit of a laugh, since I slept through my stop and had to hoof it the extra 2 Km to make it up.

Lindommer in fine form - but taking it a little easy with the half pints ??? Waggatah..
Riddler is indeed the man of mystery. Blew in and out like a $5 good time.
Blue. ... Bowled the googly with the shock revelation that he is the lone jaapie vegetarian on planet earth :nta:
Then ripped out the dusty olive Bokke jersey fishing for trouble :fishing
Cyclo took the poofter ribbing in stride and back on his bike admirably.
Moses brought us up to speed on some upcoming initiatives for the site. Got suitably hammered and marked a few trees on the way back to Wynard just to make sure the local dogs know who's boss.
Ash warmed up as the night went on and seemed to be quite realistic about the reds chances in 2010. Last or next to it depending on the Lions.
NTA propped up the chef's wages in the tight economy, nice to know we're not all tightening our belts! :lmao:Also managed to sneak away to the bar to get that first round ordered before the rest of us!
Scarfy brought some class to the proceedings. Shared a few good yarns.

and The Lord did provide some top drop for us. Much appreciated.

Naza - No show.
WJ - No show & a piss poor excuse from what I heard.

runner up!
at the jersey launch this year, i was standing next to the ceo of a certain car company who asked if i attend all the games, i went yep, then he asked if i dress up, and then i said yep, in a blue jacket, then silence, lots of silence.

just want to ad, the comp was "take a photo that represents why you are tah'd for life" i got a waratah tattoo, the kid that won got face paint, not sure how he was tah'd for life, but good good form!

I think I'll be laughing over that one for a long time..

But I guess you're the one with the permanent reminder of how fucked the Tah marketing team can be. :lmao:

love watching the tahs win lose or draw, any rugby for that matter, was going to get a tattoo eventually, it just made me actually do it!

there marketing team foes pretty well considering they have pretty mcuh cut all there staff to the bare bones and stripped back costs, they do a fair bit with what little resources they have.

But why does so much of it have to be shit? Have they actually asked any rugby fans what they want to see - rather than just assuming the team singing is something they could do? The costs would better be put into cheerleaders.

Yer booked in, Spook.

Well, that went well this year. It would seem members of the TYS Alcoholics Club have discerning tastes as regards beer (the Heritage Belgian Beer Cafe followed by the Lord Nelson brewery hotel); I'll have to do some investigations to find a suitable venue for next year's event. Anyone help me with some "research" at either the Bavarian Bier Cafe in The Rocks or the James Squire Brewhouse at King Street Wharf? ::) ::) ::)

The Squire is in fun spot - a few more laydeez walking past than in the back room of the Nelson. But I don't like Squire beer so that's out.

Scarfy, I'm confused: there was a bloke looking suspiciously like you swilling James Squire Pilsener at the Fox+Lion after the Reds match this year. He looked as if he was enjoying it and didn't seem to suffer any ill after effects. In fact, if I can recall correctly, this copycat was reasonably lucid and carried on a coherent conversation on the train home up to the Blue Mountains. So much for James Squire brews.

If that wasn't you maybe you should contact the relevant authorities and have them apprehend this imposter.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

James Squire works just fine for me. Remember, this is a democracy, and Scarfy only gets 1 vote...I think...It is a democracy, isn't it? Jeez, I feel a little desperate trying to organise my social life a year out! :lmao:

2 votes for the Ettamogah.

It's got a fucking vintage car on the roof. C'mon!!

Can you sit in it and, more importantly, do they serve beer in it?
