    Sydney Subbies 2024

As a ref it is always interesting watching back a game with commentary. The first time you provided commentary on my game you (rightly) chastised me for not noticing a taken back in the 22m :) (tackled outside and placed ball inside). There was other stuff you called out (incorrectly) though I...

No, likely to be next year though. No mid-season law changes.

In my humble (ill-informed) opinion. I find generally the impact injuries are higher in these conditions due to ball carriers slipping over and getting collected dangerously, still a rare thing though. On low sand tracks (muddy) the ground seems to give way more easily on impact. The one thing...

    Shute Shield 2024

At the ground, it was pretty dark towards the end. Something not obvious on the broadcast.

    Shute Shield 2024

Just been to the ground, and should be in good shape for 2nd Grade kick off at 2pm.

Can attest that to Drummoyne Oval!. Ankle deep mud. Scrums were even better on the pitch!

    Decent crowd here tonight.

    Waratahs v Reds - Friday 31/5

He has backed off the red cards for a while now. Still too risky for me.

Yeah, I have had to do that once or twice. Hate doing it however we are pushed to call last play 2mins before the next game which gives you 34mins per half in Colts. Praying for a knock-on, however a point comes when you just have to blow it.

    Sydney Subbies 2024

With the weather the way it is in Sydney and it being a wet weather round for Subbies, I thought I would take the opportunity to head to Central West. I will be refereeing the Cootamundra Tricolours vs Harden Red Devils. Should be a great day being Ladies Day and all. The weather forecast is for...

    Shute Shield 2024

From Rugby News: Northern Suburbs v Randwick Max Jorgensen is set to make his Shute Shield debut for Randwick in Saturday’s grand final rematch at North Sydney Oval. Jorgensen will start at fullback for the Galloping Greens, with James Hendren shifting to the wing in place of returning Waratah...

    Shute Shield 2024

Don't know what has happened the last two rounds, however, 1st Grade would be much different if not for goal kicking. 'Relatively' easy missed attempts cost them a draw in R1 against Rats and a win against Hunter. Did not watch R3 v Norths however 32 zip is not a goal kicking issue.

    Shute Shield 2024

No (see Blue Mountains 1st G). No 4th Grade, however apparently a Colts 4 team playing friendlies.

    Sydney Subbies 2024

Yep, and likely the reason Souths don't have a 4th Grade this year. Players are retired and have family now, better fit in Subbies in my humble opinion. None of them apparently train anymore either.

Quins weren't bad at all against Oysters last week. Lost the game in first half due to poor defence on back of kicks. Fixed it in the second half and won the half.
