Sydney Subbies 2025

Here To Do

The issue is if the 3rd leg has already been booked away to another local club on that day, then what? Double points away for a second time. I guess it's park footy and not the olympics so its academic really.
I'm talking from a fairness and financial perspective - it's a bit of a crap shoot to who has 8 home games and who has 7 (if my math is right).

Now, it could be 8 and 6, or worse. There's no reason any team should host an extra home game when it's possible to balance it.

I know a club who started off the season with 7 home and 8 away. Has lost a home game already due to a washout (not this weekend). If third leg fixture of this weekend is given back, they will end up with 5 home and 9 away.

Gotta say, I'm here for the "Subbies should take control!" crowd who also overlap the "Subbies have made a mess of everything!" crowd.

Have just seen Southern Districts post up only their higher grade games to be played at Forshaw.

"3rd & 4th Grade, 3rd Colts & 2nd Women postponed."

My comment from earlier again looks at why subbies should just call this round a wipe. If 1 game happens across each DIV it then puts the rest of the comp in a scramble to try and play a make up game in a calendar which has very limited wet weather weekend options. Just make the call.

According to Social Media:
FIRST DIV - all postponed
SECOND DIV - Pats v UNSW washed out. Irish Maybe. Nothing on Briars or Shammies Insta
THIRD DIV - Washed out according to Hornsby and Hills. No news on Knox v Blacktown but have to assume it's the same
FOURTH DIV - Mac Uni v Wakehurst washed out but nothing from the other 2 fixtures
FIFTH DIV - all goneski
SIXTH DIV - Merrylands v Dropbears no news. Burra v Sea Lice postponed.

So based off the fact that all games are cancelled in Div 1 and 5 plus we assume Div 3 would that mean it’s a cancelled round and therefore not double points in the catch up fixture as all games have been washed out?

What is the deciding factor in a cancelled round vs games being postponed? Depending on what end of the table your playing and if you are at home you’d probably have different thoughts on it.

Wet weather distraction for the 'our game is better' forum if one existed.
Note, no injuries from this.

Ever wondered why Rugby does not allow players to tackle another if they are in the air? (Law 9.11 states “players must not do anything that is dangerous to others including leading with elbow or forearm”.)

League learning the hard way once more. League match Campbelltown vs Oakdale

What is more alarming is the comments
Blue Player: "I am recovering well. Football is football. It’s a contact sport and moving forward I want to get back out there and play footy.”
NRL Physio account apparently tongue in cheek: “Where’s he supposed to go? He can’t disappear. Accidents happen. It’s not his go. It only looks bad in slow motion.”

All I see is the blue player make a flying kick to the head of the red player....
