    The Wallabies Thread

You have missed an essential element CULTURE e.g Wallabies have had a long season - so has NZ, SA, Samoa, Japan, Fiji ..... Izzy needs a rest - you have to be kidding!!! Dont expect to be selected ever again. Pocock is playing in Japan but getting paid to be a Wallaby - stay there if thats your...

Round 3: Sharks v Waratahs - Sunday 12 March 4:30am AEDT, Kings Park, Durban

Should have been called up straight away - could have been 2 yellow cards. Stupid play from Dempsey - he is a yellow waiting to happen every game. Definitely not MOM.

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

This is a test match. You play to win every test match. The best team must play. This is not the best team. If a player needs a rest then he is not fit and shouldn't be touring - they are professional athletes.

Fa'ainga hasn't played any NRC - injured? Jordy Reid can cover 6,7,8 - particularly 6,7

    Waratahs v Rebels RD 6

My Mumm could have played better than that - and she is 87 years old

    Aussie Player Exodus

Hunt VC for Reds - without even playing a game for them. Samo at the Rebels - would like one more crack at Super 15. That's the future? What great incentives for our young talent to stay around - NOT!

    England v Australia

Anyone who wants to be in the test squad must be able to put in a full on 80 minutes - no exceptions! This is not the place to be learning on the job. That's club and NRC.

Who has starred in the NRC

No one has really starred. Not the same standard as best teams in ITM or Curry Cup. Stars have demonstrated that a great club team is not a super team.

    Australia v South Africa - Perth - 6 September 2014

Watched Sydney (lack of ) Stars v Rising Rebels. Rising second row smashed in to defence and offence contact. Big, fast, agile. Skelton ran out of puff after 10 minutes. Slow, fell on rucks if they were close enough to jog to, lost ball in contact. Lovely big fella - but not a Wallaby!

    Chiefs v Rebels Rd 9 2014

    Is Reid carrying an injury?

    Tahs v Rebels Rnd 6 2014

Throw in Reid Fainga'a and Timani with Jones also an option and they have an awesome range of talent in the back row.

Trial - Rebels vs Waratahs - Saturday 1 February 5pm

From where I sat - bloody hot. 1st half absolutely brutal in pace and venom. For the Tah's: First time I have ever seen Will Skelton SMASH in to the rucks and mauls ( as apposed to flopping in). Great to see. McKibben showed his class in deceiving defence by using the referee and racing away to...

    Waratahs 2014

Izzy is no Dagg. He is a great athlete but his positional play is a great concern -he does not instinctively know where he should be or where he should be going either in attack and particularly in defence

See page 7 . of last Shute Shield Rugby News article.
