    Brumbies 2020

Lonergan was probably one of Canberra's worst players in the NRC this year. Hooker is one of the positions that seems to change the most in that transition from school to senior rugby, as kids who play there at school level tend to be built like centres. They often have to bulk up and fill...

NRC Final - Western Force v Canberra Vikings - UWA Sports Park - Saturday, 26 Oct - Noon (WST)

Lonergan has matched him in scrum-half play this season, but is also one of the best goal kickers in the country, which has tipped him over the edge.

Yep. Along with Swain, Valetini and McInerney.

Vikings need to swap out the front row. Lachlan Lonergan has been ceaselessly awful and now he's completely cooked.

NRC Final - Western Force v Canberra Vikings - UWA Sports Park - Saturday, 26 Oct - Noon (WST)

That's game over. The Vikings backs have run themselves ragged trying to cover up for the inadequacy of the forwards. Starting to make mistakes in defence and there's no way back now.

Dumb penalty from the Force there. If this was the world cup, we'd have watched 17 replays and he'd have been given a yellow card.

We must be watching different games. Lonergan has created almost every linebreak for the Vikings so far. Fines has been putting the ball on Deegan's bootlaces and just dropped the ball cold over the line.

NRC Final - Western Force v Canberra Vikings - UWA Sports Park - Saturday, 26 Oct - Noon (WST)

What a shame Banks couldn't finish off after splashing Jonah Placid all over the pitch. Would've looked great on the highlight reel.

Forrest is rationing donations from his tax-payer funded fortune to a charity (the kind that wouldn't need to exist if billionaires didn't) on the basis of how many tries the Force score.

The only mob out there more useless than the Vikings forwards are the Force backs.

Force Swan diving over the ruck straight onto the turf and winning a penalty.

The Force are completely dominating the set piece but look clueless in open play. Maybe just finals jitters though.

NRC Final - Western Force v Canberra Vikings - UWA Sports Park - Saturday, 26 Oct - Noon (WST)

Ikitau is putting in a Kuridrani-esque shift in defence here. That's two crucial turnovers inside the 22 now.

Kick from Banks 85m and dead by about 5cm. Ugh.

They'll need to be a lot more threatening. Murphy is a notorious homer. The crooked line out call was pretty bad.

Why oh why oh why do we always get Damon Murphy in crunch games? I just know I'm going to spend this afternoon getting angry.

I'd be inclined to take Horie over any of our hookers too; at least on World Cup form. Nakajima would push Slipper for a bench spot too, I don't think there was a better impact forward in the group stages.
