Wallabies vs Wales - Suncorp Stadium June 9

I think I missed that. When?
  2. Riptide

    New Zealand vs Ireland

Men against boys. The ABs did everything quicker. Sexron looked good but BOD was very poor. His best Test days are well behind him.

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

Ireland up 12-3.. and playing very intelligently. Same side as 3 days ago. They will tire in the 2nd half.
  4. Riptide

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

England quickly getting into their patterns. Ireland look physically overmatched.

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

Unfortunately this result means that Australia are unlikely to qualify as best runners up given a much harder fixture against France vs NZ who can be expected to destroy Fiji. That mean only one of SA/Eng get through as well (or Ireland should they pull off upset win against England)

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

Gatland has been targeting this Wallaby game since the RWC. Wales will be ready. Hope Wallabies are.

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

It has to be said that Bryn Hall, the NZ captain at 9 took no pressure off his outside backs.. very poor.

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

Wales win it 9-6 .. herculean defense.. smarter play, box kicks, and Kiwis were naieve and missed their kicks. Their starting 10 Eade was woeful; he'll never been seen again I reckon.

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

Wales totally deserve this; great defense 9-6 up with a few minutes to go.

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

    The Kiwi 6 is massive.

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

All teams must start every member of their squad in the pool stages. That might have something to do with it too.

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

Australian teams never learn to grind it out up front. It is rare for us to beat foreign teams playing this way as they are invariably better that us here. Frankly, there is a cultural aversion to it in our rugby; we want the ball to be moved wide and for the game to entertain and for it not to...

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

The Argentinian openside (Matea?) is a player to watch; he was the best on the park by some margin. Completely outplayed Gill, and you wont read that too often in the years to come.

    2012 IRB Junior World Championship

Outfought and outmuscled in the rain. Seems a familiar refrain. That pitch was a disgrace for a tournament of this magnitude. Shouldn't happen nowadays. Think the Irish/English have to play on it in an hour. Gill - honest & positive in his post match comments. He'll learn from this too. Arg...

Wallabies vs Wales - Suncorp Stadium June 9

Wallabies were just beaten by Scotland for the 2nd time in a row. I'll repeat that.. Wallabies were just beaten by Scotland for the 2nd time in a row. And we also lost to Samoa and Ireland last year. So, we've been beaten by Samoa, Ireland and Scotland in the last 12 months. You haven't lost...

Wallabies vs Wales - Suncorp Stadium June 9

Horne has been a massive disappointment. I recall the debate prior to the RWC about whether he should be included and some asserted that he was one of the most promising players they had seen. He has done little with the ball, and missed too many tackles with out. Horne has been poor.

    New Zealand vs Ireland

Murray is too slow to get to the breakdown and to clear ball once he get there. I never understood how he gets the nod over quicker players like Reddan who has the combination with Sexton. The Irish can win consistently if the play a "full-court" up tempo game as they just dont have the pack...

    New Zealand vs Ireland

Thomson seems to fade in a season.. He is more of a 6.5, than the out & out hard, destructive force the NZ'er prefer to play at 6. Vito plays a tighter game, and his form has been good.
