Cheers for the responses guys, healthy discourse is what keeps this forum alive. I can agree, the Major Rennie Trophy and the GPS footy shield are the main pointers to a successful co-curricular season. A competitive GPS comp is a healthy one, and honestly it benefits Australian Rugby.

Can someone point to me the resurgence of Shore Rugby has come from. A couple years back many were calling for them to be demoted to the 2s or 3s comp, used to be the free points of the competition. Is it more funding? A lucky few years of good footy? A change in Master In Charge? Headmaster...

42 Tries, averaging a hat-trick a game is impressive. What team was he playing in?

    NSW AAGPS 2023

Yeah, Riverview have always been too 2/3 in 16s purely because they just about never send their best players to opens. 2020, 2021, 2022 were all in that position. That being said, Gus Grover, the younger brother of the Grover twins, may just be the best 9/10 in the state for his position...

I think Views getting the jerseys mixed up, might be the fourth interception today, Shore’s second try of them. 24-14.

View boys with a beautiful rendition of the Galilee Song, brings me back to the days of belting it in Dalton Chapel.

View backs tearing it up even with a man down. Was it yellow card worthy? 12-0

View straight through cutting the defensive line in from the halfway line. 5-0 Edit: Conversion make it 7

Gus Gould, to do a State of Origin type speech for a pump up video in 2016.

Best GPS games of all time, anyone? A few mentions of mine: Scots Shore Rnd 5 last year, with Damion Pinn’s 40m drop goal to win the game. Joeys View 2018 Rnd 5. Dom Easy goes over in the 68th, Joeys score of kickoff/last play. Victory, Tears and Drama (even after the final whistle).

Yeah but Nah. Admittedly, Kings vs Joeys has been a top of the table clash past 5-6 odd years, yet when it comes to the Catholic War, both teams show out, I can’t remember a blow out in recent years, nor can I remember a year without 2/3 lead changes. Joeys View takes the cake 100% the time with...

For Riverview a lot of the forward pack are unsung hero's of the Views successful season, Phoenix Graham and Hamish Long the 2 row combination both get through a lot of work and have been awesome in Views lineouts, which looked very slick yesterday.

Closely followed, if not matched by Rat Park in Narrabeen, the St. Augs playing surface.

GPS 1s might just put up a 30+ margin on CAS, this team stacked. The amount of talent in this years comp is truly insane.

The Liam Grover and Joe Dillon confirming why they should be the 10/13 combination.

Lucky, don’t know about that that. Had 65%+ territory, admittedly lucky-ish tries, but with pressure comes mistakes.

You can expect an Iggy the Moocher chant from the old boys.
  18. T

    NSW AAGPS 2023

Yes and no. It is different, Joeys and Riverview have a mutual respect that goes deeper than their rivalry, whilst known for their hatred towards each other they know they have a very similar culture. For 12-13 weeks of the school year both schools are consumed by rugby; play rugby, talk rugby...

I don't think Riverview has 500 boys on the Regis Campus.

As well as that percentage wise, view manage to pull 35-45% of the senior school to away games. Compared to kings 25-30% at home games.
