    Super Rugby T-T R3: Waratahs v Crusaders

Wing ain’t his thing. In fairness we’ve hardly had a chance to spin it wide and the CRU have been targeting Blackadder’s boyfriend so there hasn’t been much action on the near side

    Super Rugby T-T R3: Waratahs v Crusaders

Like they need a 16th man on the field and reduce us to 14. Fuck me, I’ve seen everything now.

It was always going to take a Crusadist to start the thread!

Quoting out of context is more the norm.

    Wallabies 2021

Flog of the highest order. You have your mate Raelene to thank for him. Why is everyone placing so much weight on a negative Newscorp rugby article all of a sudden?

    Wallabies 2021

Yes but I stopped reading at this point. Robbie Deans gave Hooper the start, Link gave him the captaincy Were it not for David Pocock and Michael Cheika’s preference of one of his own Waratahs, Michael Hooper, it could have been Gill with 100 Tests.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Yeah, I think we are more likely to to go outside NZ with these foreigners, but the occasional one will be specced. More Mike Harris and less Jack Whetton please! Players from countries that don't have a strong economy or a pro comp will be targets - ARG, SAF, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, etc, plus the...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

If we are going to insist on playing NZ provincial teams as part of our development, we need to be winning. There are two ways we can do this - the first is to play them with 2 or 3 representative teams at the back end of the domestic comp as discussed here a couple of pages back. The second is...

    Trans-Tasman Super Rugby 2021

Depth is the issue, always has been. I posted something similar in the Where To thread, but I think we just have to form an 8 team domestic comp and then proper rep teams from NSW and Qld can play the NZ provinces at the end of our comp just like back in the 80s and 90s.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Domestic it is: Sydney Western Sydney and/or Hunter (country) Brisbane SEQ (country) Cambra Melbourne Perth Drua Rep teams can challenge NZ provinces like they used to back in the bad old days. Worked then.

TT Rd 2 2021: Reds vs Crusaders @ Suncorp Sat 22nd may 7:45pm

And actually isn’t the law you have to release the tackled player once his knees are on the ground? He didn’t have hold of the player, he was playing the ball. Where’s Pfitzy?

What a fucked law that one is. Never seen it enforced on a legit steal before.

i didn’t mind that it was only a yellow though. A year or two ago it would have been a red. I liked that they walked through all the mitigating factors to reach the decision. But yes, given the foot and a half difference in height a penalty would have been sufficient.

TT Rd 2 - Chiefs v Brumbies, Sat 22nd May, 5.05pm AEST, FMG Waikato

The skills part is debatable, better accuracy with passing maybe but in league you go into contact trying to hold onto the pill, in union you are always looking to retain possession in other ways. 90% of the attempted offloads in contact in league end up on a patch of grass nowhere near anyone...

That’s been evident for a while now. Still doesnt make league two dimensional.

I’m actually switching between the two because my kids are at school with Sua'ali'i and my mate’s Kayo account is still active from when he stayed here a couple of weeks ago. I can report that it’s boring as fuck.
