    Wallabies 2023

It's not dropping him, I am just working off Eddie's comments that a lot of the guys who started against the Boks would be rested/on the bench for this weekend's game. It's mostly about seeing what Gordon can do so start McDermott/Gordon with White/Cooper on the bench. It's an attempt at...

    Wallabies 2023

I don't think getting beaten by Italy is even close to doing 'reasonably well'. I thought Rennie deserved to take us through to the RWC this year but if Eddie was their man then I can also see why RA needed to pounce when they did. Don't forget all Rennie's assistants had started to bail out...

    Wallabies 2023

Yes and no. The caveat has to be that they are up to test rugby, many aren‘t. But let’s go through the exercise anyway - this is very off the cuff and i’m happy to be overruled. Someone asked for the Team of the Year (based off the team of the week) to be revealed, it’s no doubt a better...

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

I don't think anyone is claiming they were easy kicks but the question was why Quade wasn't kicking the conversions, Hodge is usually confined solely to the long range ones that no-one else has a chance in hell of getting.

Yeah look I'm not as down on it as I could be, it seems Eddie was giving the majority of Rennie's selections the benefit of the doubt with a bit of experimentation thrown in. He will now have a better idea which players will fit into his game plan and whatever the plan was at altitude last...

That is true but at least we know physicality is a strong aspect of Jed’s game.

T Hooper was good in the lineout but got found out around the paddock. Might be long term solution at 6, but not this year for mine. He needed to knock it out of the park to displace Holloway and/or Leota.

I was hoping Latu might have been our saviour but the fact he ended up playing club rugby rules a line through him. Vailanu, not this year.

I have no problems with Richie Arnold getting another shot at sea level next week, maybe even start him, but I’m certainly not penning him into our RWC squad just yet.

I liked that QWERTY except Porecki is bigger than Faessler, so that’s not the right angle to drop him. After putting myself through the pain of a second watch I thought M Hooper was one of the few players that tried his heart out last night so gave him 2 points, the game plan whatever it was...

    Wallabies 2023

I assume Fez is Faessler? No problems with giving him a crack next week but anointing him as captain before he has even made his debut is a bit premature. Good post otherwise.

He’s got R Lonergan as the benchie, but I would not drop Tate either.

That one actually went forward though.

I dont care about that, the ’second string springboks’ thing was going to get wheeled out win lose or draw, especially by Fox.

It’s either that or waiting for Lonergan to grow a few inches. Hooker is a massive problem for us, we are literally looking for ways to polish turds.

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

I’m going to leave the coach out of this, as well as the garbage being thrown at our incumbent and best ever players. Flogging teams in Pretoria is SOP for the Boks, I don’t know why they play anywhere else. As for the experimental players: 16. Uelese - throws shit but at least that is...

from what I’ve picked up elsewhere Q51 has been in the envious position of having a son in the U20s team and has thus been enjoying South Africa for a couple of weeks. Lucky man and such an honour.
