Semi Final 1: Blues vs Waratahs

It looks as though most of the Tahs have stopped believing. Dennis playing well though.

    Shute Shield 2011

Thanks Bruce. He's had a pretty successful career for a bloke who never appeared particularly motivated and didn't have much speed off the mark. Clearly he is driven but its not something which is obvious. I can't imagine he ever troubled you for extra gym sessions?

    Shute Shield 2011

Does anyone know how long Chris Malone has been back and how is he playing?

    Reds 2011

Yes, the Reds pay me to support them. (Insert rolling eyes emoticon)

Fotu Auelua - WC no 8?

From what I've seen, he is perhaps more at home on the wing than in the ruck. If he was selected for the Wallabies before proving himself in Super Rugby or Club Rugby there would, quite rightly, be an outcry.

Semi Final 1: Blues vs Waratahs

I'm pretty sure he meant that their focus would be on "just the Waratahs" and what they need to do. In fact that is pretty clear. Fire up if you want though.

    Phil Waugh retires

That is gossip rather than inside mail. Good luck to Mr Waugh. He has a B. Ec. from Sydney Uni and probably post graduate qualifications as well. I agree with Bruce that he'll do well in the business world. He'd be a hard headed opponent to come up against in the board room (if a little...

    Reds 2011

That is gold. The Reds are attracting new fans to the game. Good stuff. The reason no one raps about the Tahs is because the blazered brigade, who support the Tahs, don't know what it is. Before anyone starts the bile, I've lived in NSW my entire life. I supported the Tahs up until they...

    Southern Inland Rugby 2011

Sam thanks for the updates. Really helpful for another exile who is from that region. Who do you support/play for? Word on the street is that an ex Oz 7s rep who has played professionally in Europe for the last couple of years has moved to Young.

    What has happenned to advantage

Under the current rules the ref can only give the latter. The former does seem sensible though and the idea of allowing a team to choose also seems sensible.

    Sitaleki Timani

He plays a different game to any of our other locks. Much more brutal and imposing. It's been a long time since we had a lock like that. It's a pity he qualifies for Tonga but, I'm sure, that is where his heart is. I hope he plays for Tonga, has a successful overseas career and sets himself and...

    The JOC (James O'Connor) Saga

Are you still a winner if, over the last 2-3 years, you've lost more games than you've won? It was his job to steer his team around when playing 10 and he failed to close out close games. I've said before that the other backs looked to him to do something and I'm sure he thought he could as...

    The JOC (James O'Connor) Saga

And yet you don't hear much about David Pocock's renegotiations. It's a Player's Agent not an Agent's Player. Tell them to pipe down and not to talk to the media.

What Inside Backs Are Available for the Force

This may sound odd, but I think the Force backline will function better without O'Connor. It showed that in the two games he missed through injury. I suspect the others wait for him to do something instead of doing it themselves. Don't forgot that even with O'Connor, the Force has scored the...

    Waratahs Player Welfare

This year the Tahs have had dreadful injury problems. However, it seems to me that they are miraculously getting players back on the field week after week. I know all professional athletes have to play injured at times, but it concerns me that a number of important Wallabies are playing injured...

    Why is Tom Carter unpickable?

Bruce it seems to me that you are only interested in the posts which agree with your own. You are also dismissive of the posts which provide reasons for suggesting TC isn't of Wallaby standard. You also seem to credit TC with the Waratahs' stingy defensive line. What about John Muggleton? On...

    Reds v. Crusaders, May 29th, Suncorp - 2011R15

Samo for Wallaby no. 8? I've not seen better this season.

    Reds v. Crusaders, May 29th, Suncorp - 2011R15

Reds lucky to win. Having said that, they kicked away ball with the wrong option far too often and turned over huge amounts of ball from the set piece. Wouldn't be surprised to be watching that game again before too long.

    Shute Shield 2011

Lily can you explain? Chris Cottee, clearly a talented player, has surely missed his opportunity at 28 or so? I'm extraordinarily pleased for him and would be glad to hear more news.
