Canberra Vikings - Offical NRC Team Thread

Unless they can land a major sponsor, which I think is unlikely, I doubt we will see the change until at least 2018 if they are very lucky, or until this all goes through the wash again with a dose of reality and comes out as another concept. The question is now, with the recent layer of...

Apparently he was a kicking hooker when he played in Japan for 3 seasons. Who needs backs right?

I am happy to be corrected if I have provided poor examples, my point was more about where they are being played rather than listed. The comments above do go some way to highlight my point that we have have a lot of utility backs, especially at for the 13 and winger roles, but we are still...

You do realise that Andrew Smith was recruited specifically as 12 cover right, and Ah-Wong is a 12 usually since swapping from flanker? Dargaville has been the choice fill-in behind Coleman, who is usually first up in 12 as cover. That 4 that are known for being able to play at 12.

Actually, the only one that I am unsure that hasn't had a run at inside centre is Taliauli. Godwin provides no more than any one of those I mentioned. Ah, and there is the difference when it comes to palyer development. Compare JJH to say Damien McKenzie and you will find that at 19...

Meh - he has been patchy at best the last few seasons. I am watching with interest as Burnie recruits; with some trepidation about the direction. To complement a really good bunch of experienced and proven players we now have half a team on young guns that have talent and ability that need...

Walk up start @12. He has step, good pass, can kick, roided-up. Formidable centre pairing with Izzy. Izzy can even speak in native NRL so no communication issues. He would be a waste at prop.

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

I admire your courage in publicly disclosing that fact. I hope they can raise the money they need to get there. Can you please ask your mate to get me Jaddyd's autograph?

Stop bringing history and facts in to augments! Also no logic, rational or using precedent. Please return to the required irrational, baseless, non-factual rants. You are also absolutely forbidden to mention that Super Rugby franchises who pay and contract these U20's players most likely are the...

I am calling it early! If he goes I would not be surprised if its a Michael Ala'alatoa MKII situation. If only.

Tis a global game my friend! Plenty of places to play other than Super Rugby. Two points to consider in the grander scheme of things: IIRC in the past how you can never have enough depth - one minute we have an abundance of stock, the next you know Mann-Rae is getting a Wallaby Cap. Have a look at...

I am more worried that Abel's playtime might be with another franchise!!!!:eek: I don't know his contract arrangements, but he is good enough to be poached and even be a starter elsewhere. Matter of fact I would be comfortable with him starting. So Saia for a year my be a bad thing long...

Not sure about this. He is not a bad player, but with Bongo and Abel, I would have thought they would have gone for a rookie.
