    Brumbies 2017

The lack of complaints about him leaving made me a little suspicious!

    Western Force 2017

We are desperately looking for good pathways and opportunities to develop or give young players exposure to professional rugby so why waste a perfect opportunity for development of Australian on a Fiji program? Why send good money offshore and out of Aussie rugby? I am lost as to how Aussie...

Problem is, if the Reds guy is as good as they say he will be a better option at 8.

Not the case for Wells sadly. I would have thought if he was looking for game time he would have headed for the Reds but he missed that boat. With much made of Butler being signed to cover Pocock I don't think it will get him game time. Alcock is a pretty good player, but cant get a regular...

    Western Force 2017

I think the Force are in unique space for the ARU going forward. They need to retain the participation numbers and footprint and are also bound by the TV deal. So, they they have 2 choices: invest in the Force with an attitude of looking for success to limit the losses or break even worse...

    Brumbies 2017

It would be good to have the cover / competition at 7, but its only for a year and I then wonder who loses out? I also fear that the the knock on from Pococks return will see us lose the likes of Butler and others with the flanker stocks we have. Personally, i would take a chance on 2 green...

    Brumbies 2017

I thought so but they sent him to SA for cover when Butler was injured. So I think he is considered a lock / flanker, same as Dean Oakman-Hunt. He is shorter than Fardy at 196cms, so closer to Smiler and Ah-Wong. At least we should have some depth in the flanker ranks. What does make me have...

Crap. I forgot about the one from the Reds. So including Alcock it is about 8 options; Pocock being the 9th when he returns and its not including any of the NRC potential candidates.

    Brumbies 2017

True, but in the flanker ranks we also have Smiler, Fardy,Wells, Hyne, Valetini(EPS?) and Vaea's spot to be filled which i would assume they would want a bigger ball runner; and that is with Pocock away. So beyond 2017 we would have a pretty packed roster. I believe that in addition to above...

Locked down ATM and will probably make Godwin at best a short term prospect in an already crowded group of utility backs. The Alcock move make no sense for the Brumbies as Butler is only on a one year deal, Pocock will be back in a year, and from what we are seeing Wells is a good talent...

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

I haven't watched the game yet but apparently he played the full 80 and went ok, Not much running (1 run) but directed the traffic well and defended well (10 tackles). 2x tries each way so the difference (ironically after last night) was Halfpenny's boot. Another irony is Mogg is a scoring...

You mean, how well did Matt Giteau play at 10 for Toulon last night when they beat Montpellier to secure a place in the Top 14 final?

Ah yes, this little old thing. It will bubble away for a fair while yet. So quick catch up for you - the ex-ARU head of integrity and now Brumbies CEO is doing his best officer Barr Brady "nothing to see here" impression and we all are believing every word. So no, not one of us is a teenie...

    Western Force 2017

Perfect illustration of what wrong with the Force - always being thrown the left overs. For once the ARU need to make sure they get top quality not left overs. PS: I don't see anyone else looking at Stiles.

Last time I sighted Anae was pre-game at the Brumbies v Sunwolves and he seemed to be limping - appeared to be a knee. Not sure of seriousness or if it was just a training knock.

Says the supporter of the team with the sophisticated and interesting name of "Tah"! I still have to concentrate to differentiate between when I am talking to a Tah supporter and a baby saying one of its first words or sounds - Ta. :p
