    The Hickey should stay thread

For those who don't blame the coach but rather the players. Why do you think he should stay? I will start by saying it will not be good for NSW to get back on the coaching merry-go-round. Remember how much of a mess the 'tahs were before Link was given an extended tenure?

    The Hickey Must go thread

Their is a lot of hate floating around for Hickey at the moment so maybe we could all get it here and someone can email it off to the 'tahs.

Lets make our own G&GR Rebels wish list

Props 1. Jerry Y (has been in the Brumbies academy for a few years now so hopefully he is ready) 1/3 Spud Holmes (Not sure who else but if the Rebels got Edwards I would want Holmes to stay with the Reds) 3/1 Al Baxter (with Palmer waiting in the wings at the 'tahs it would be good if Baxter...

    Uni bastards

Totally agree Nick and until something is done about rugby's over-reliance on GPS and schools rugby it will continue to do so. In country NSW only the rare school has a Saturday team involved in rugby competition, usually against other independent schools. No state school (where the majority of...

    Upping the foreign roster?

The majority of our problems stem from our junior structures and club system. The game's stakeholders need to come together and redress our woefully inadequate junior system (players getting to super rugby being unable to catch and pass or perform the minimum requirements of their position is...

    The number 7

It is too late now and I read somewhere that JO'N suggested to him after the 2003 WC to do exactly that. Though what would a CEO know about coaching?

    137 points enough for you?

137 points scored in Chiefs win over Lions Did anyoe see this game? Was it a case of defence optional or was the attack of both teams too good?

    Brumbies Player Ratings (v Bulls)

I was watching some highlights on FSN this morning and couldn't believe it when the referee provided the perfect shepherd for the Bulls to score by blocking Alexander from sliding across in cover.

    Horwill gone for 9 months...

Could this be a blessing in disguise for Qld and Oz rugby? Will force both Ewen and Robbie to find new locks to fill the hole left by Kev's injury the year before the world cup. Hopefully it will lead to a top class lock emerging to take Kev's spot (and not the option of giving Sharpe another...

    The Flannery Kick

I'm with RW on this one - 12 months minimum. I hope the three officials were raked over the coals for missing that one as well (hopefully stood down from officiating tests in the coming weeks as well).

G&GR Reds Player of the Match (v Cru)

    3. A Faina'a 2. Higginbum 1. S Fainga'a (would have given him more but the lineout was a shambles again - fantastic around the field carting the ball up).

    Reds v Crusaders

As I watched Quade take the intercept I thought the ref had blown it up but QC (Quade Cooper) kept running and had a look over his shoulder and went over the line. The ref did put the whistle to his lips but realised it was going to be an intercept and allowed for the advantage to be played.

    Player predictions super 14 2010

too late to say that Andre Pretorious won't last the season but here goes... 1. Berrick Barnes to have an injury during the S14 2. Ben Robinson to have less impact in this years comp (heresy I know but I got the feeling he was starting to burn out at the end of last year) 3. Waratah's to choke...

    George Smith to retire!!!

Sad to see him go but Pocock has come on leaps and bounds inthe past 12 months. The Brumbies appear to be well-covered with Colby Fainga'a and Michael Hooper on their books (not to mention Hoiles who could cover 7). Hopefully both of those young blokes get plenty of game-time in this years S14...

Adam Freier: The beauty of our game is in the contest

Re: awesome article by adam frier: The beauty of our game is in the contest Does he have to wait that long as the sooner he goes the better it will be for rugby in Oz IMHO.

The playing rugby in 2010 thread.

Attended our first training session tonight (sat on the sideline like a good supporter yelling out wisecracks) and was impressed by the turnout. We had over 20 grade players which was a lot better than last year and is a good sign as it is still January and it was raining tonight. The coaches...
