    Southern Inland Rugby 2014

Wow, Red to Green or Green to Red? RF - It's been a long time between drinks for you mate! Sounds like we've got similar mail on this one. This is good to hear and I think more local clubs should be looking into their options overseas. Wagga City have had some good success in recent times...

No worries. I heard he has taken on a consultancy role, but haven't had that confirmed by anyone at Uni/Norths. Spill the beans son!

    Southern Inland Rugby 2014

Hey Jack01, let's keep it positive mate. Mick Small has been involved with Wagga City for well over a decade and volunteers like that are essential to our game. Aggies will no doubt be rebuilding next year (and were probably in that stage this year also) but you never know who will show up out...

Anyone got mail on the Ins and Outs for 2014? The Yabbies look like they are putting their best foot forward signing a Scottish guy to partner with Aaron Seaman in the forwards. http://www.dailyadvertiser.com.au/story/1909910/yabbies-land-a-scot-in-bid-for-boost/?cs=149

I understand where you are coming from, but my mail says that Eddie has got a room at the lodge in the 'berra already and has been training the house down. Not as yet, maybe some of our visitors have something they would like to add. Will the Yabbies leave SIRU? Will BARC come back to the...

SIRU Women's 7's Squad has been announced, congratulations to all the successful squad members. My sources tell me the trial was pretty rough, with squad member breaking her collarbone. I heard the player in question did not even shed a tear, geez we breed 'em tough in Wagga, it must be...

    John I Dent Cup 2014

There are a few regional guys who have been picked up by JID clubs. From Wales via Albury Steamers - James Olds (5/8) and Scott Meakins (prop) are headed to Uni/Norths. Wagga Ag College lose Ben Leaper (2nd Row/Back row) to Royals. Leaper had a trial with the Brumbies Academy earlier this...

Tough start to the season for City. http://www.dailyadvertiser.com.au/story/1898464/greens-sign-union-star/?cs=149 Jason was a guy who had a lot of rugby talent, although some punters did refer to him as the "world's best rugby trainer" such were the number of injuries he experienced early...

    Southern Inland Rugby 2013

Leaper and Lagaali old news. Olds and Meakin (Albury via Wales) will be at Uni Norths in 2014. Will Corcoran join Barrett at Tahs, I heard the band were getting back together? Would you include Delaney, Roach and Maher in that lineup too? Silly season indeed, I've even heard tales of a coach...

    Best pre-season 7s and 10s tournaments

Leeton 10's are an enjoyable day, long way from Sydney though Baa Baa. Cowra Twilight Ten's are another good day out, although they've been unlucky in recent years with floods etc. Queanbeyan 7's are pretty good too and the Kiama 7's are also a great day.

Brumbies Provincial v ASRU in Canberra, a good win for the Brumbies Provincial Team - ASRU is a serious scalp and I'm sure the services boys are smarting after that loss. Mick McTaggart's Preview: http://southerninland.rugbynet.com.au/default.asp?id=203304 Review...

    Brumbies 2014

Nick Leah is back in the 'Berra to run the Brumbies Academy Program. His return to the fold will be a good thing for the up and comers.

    John I Dent Cup 2014

The key to the success of this program will be Larkham/Gregan/Fisher supporting the JID and for the Brumbies to continue with Jake White's vision for the ACT Competition.

Did anyone see the referees kit at the Gold Coast Sevens from last weekend? I'm trying to track down some photos of it and can't find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's Canterbury kit provided to the IRB by the look of it.

    Rugby Coaching

Progression is the key. Develop the skill in a closed environment with no pressure, then move to a semi open environment with increased pressure and decision making then into a open environment where decision making is required. I would argue that too many coaches don't understand why they...
