The problem with the NRC and how to fix it

And there it is. I believe it was that type of attitude that got the Shute Shield fraternity an unflattering mention as one of the "undercurrents" that contributed to the current predicament the game is in at the Senate hearings. Personally i am flattered you wasted your time calling me out...

The problem with the NRC and how to fix it

Yes, we know. The ARU or those associated with the SS have never spent cent on the FTA coverage. Its fake news and the whole BS story about the ARU saying no to the 300K+. As long as we don' t Google you are absolutely correct - as always. The sponsors did it with a candlestick in the library.

The problem with the NRC and how to fix it

Thank you, I have no issue with the SS as I believe it has a place and they do well to keep it going. But it is what it is and considering its supposed amateur its consumed a lot of money. sadly. In saying that there are some good things done with it they the game can learn from.

The problem with the NRC and how to fix it

The problem with the crowd v TV argument is unless its relevant to the market, product and outcome its pure rubbish. A million people watching a product that with hardly any, (if any at all) advertising yield or TV rights being sold (Shute pays for the telecast remember) produces no revenue is...

The problem with the NRC and how to fix it

Why the fear of an overlap? Right now we have school boy;s and U20 as fringe Super Rugby players taking contracts in the NRL and Romania and all over Europe because we don't have any professional options other than Super Rugby. Most of these guys are happy to get a decent wage not be paid premium wage as they get...

The problem with the NRC and how to fix it

^^ I think we need to stop making everything Super Rugby centric where possible. Sharing of facilities, coaching and even players is fine but we need them to be relatively independent to give them a chance to grow and you never know we might even end up with more than 8 (relatively) self sustaining half...

    Brumbies 2018

Lol. Its more of an exclusive club not to have been to one of Cheika's Wallabies shindigs. Every player is a Wallaby in waiting. So, that 4 in the Wallibies squad atm, and 1 or 2 starters?

    Brumbies 2018

Again a nice try but no. Its straight off last yeas results. Odds will change. Brumbies $10 - middle of the street solid but not fancy so safe bet so wont shorten much Tahs $21 - ah, always one step from dysfunctional but basically being the Wallabies you use them as the marker. Always over...

    Brumbies 2018

Pffft. Nice Try. With the Reds having the super forwards coach take over from the super forwards coach the Reds have the best set piece going around. Even has legends bolted on like the great G Smith let alone the tales of the legendary coach. The Tahs have an all Wallibies back line, Wallaby...

    Rebels 2018

I can't wait for the senate inquiry tomorrow when they discover it was actually $31mil from the ARU. The extra $1mil to fund the bake sale and sausage sizzle!

    Rebels 2018

I am staring to wonder; a) How many Rebels 2017 squad will be there in 2018? b} of the remaining 2017 Rebels, how many will be starters? c) are the ex-Force imports under a true of faux salary cap due to honouring contracts / reallocation / dispensations / top-ups? d) will the same squad be...

I have been really impressed with Dargaville's form. Looking really good and could push for run in the centres. He could push TK to keep him in form.

Are we talking about the same Donald that is currently unemployed and considering offers after his contract ended at the Chiefs, was unwanted by Waikato and playing at Counties? And West, the fly-half nobody really wants in Super Rugby? Black signed with the Blues well after Cruden was known to be going...

    Brumbies 2018

I thought you knew by now that with the abundance of "Aussie" flyhalf's we have in Super Rugby and the depth in that position let alone the abundance of talent coming through why would we sign a flyhalf that Kiwi rugby would want?

I am aware some organisations may have it it part of their employment conditions. They also have this weird thing that if they pay you money your considered an employee even of you are contracted. Otherwise you would have no control over the contracted thing so in essence you would be paying...
