I just had a thought. What will happen to Country Club Oval if Cootamundra only have one grade playing? Will they turn the ground back to a North/South orientation?

    Refereeing decisions

#justiceforjoubert I want refs to make these calls. He saw what he saw and he made a decision. Isn't that what we want from our referees? You can go through just about any penalty and pull it apart and argue about it and come up with a different outcome. I expect the governing body to manage...

They're not interested though. The additional team that may come across to SIRU are Harden and they're the club that sits right on the border between both competitions who can potentially balance their options and choose a competition based on what's best for their club.

What's the saying? Blind Freddie could have seen that coming... http://www.dailyadvertiser.com.au/story/3426144/siru-shift-cools/?cs=149 For me, Club's that are interested in the One Team option in 2016, the best pathway is within SIRU which could provide many benefits to all parties and...

    Southern Inland Rugby 2016

My scout tells me that there is a meeting scheduled for next Wednesday for all clubs (one-teamers or potential one-teamers) under the Brumbies umbrella at Brumbies HQ to discuss. I would suggest that it is unlikely that the Brumbies and NSW/NSW Country are going to speak to each other about...

    The League Media

I thought the Fivekick GF was a solid spectacle and the way it came down to the wire was a sensational finish to the game. JT had the chance to slot every schoolkid's dream shot and bounced it off the post. I would agree though that the game needs some improvements to the current structure. *...

http://www.dailyadvertiser.com.au/story/3397911/calverley-returning-to-lead-sports-academy/?cs=149 Local junior and Brumbies DO Mark "Maxi" Calverley returning to Wagga to take on the Southern Sports Academy role. I wonder if Maxi fancies having a crack as a coach this time around?

Absolute waste of time and money. That would cost roughly $15-20k depending on how players get there etc etc. The zone couldn't afford the outlay and why send a team that distance with no chance of anyone progressing. Bowral was convenient this year and the players stumped up for the travel...

I don't see the harm in inviting some key players from Brumbies Provincial Program in for training and testing, have a chat to the players and give them some form of program to work with. I agree that the stepping stone is about playing regular rugby in a Premier Division Competition but there...

Proof Refs have been under the same pressures forever

What sports? Gridiron? Sure, but what are further implications of that? Video replays, long drawn out reviews and complicated structures. I've not looked into any reports on the South African experiment but would imagine that if such a change were to be implemented on a larger scale, that...

    Southern Inland Rugby 2016

My understanding is that he was originally talking to one of the glamour clubs in the zone who couldn't source an appropriate sponsor for the player and that this was a deciding factor. Also the obvious lure of SIRU's close links to the Brumbies program via the SIRU Rep Program and Brumbies...

Proof Refs have been under the same pressures forever

As an active referee, I can't see how this would work. There's just too many variables in Rugby Union to add another referee into the mix for it not to f@#k up (more than it already does...).

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

I agree that the scrum is going to be an issue for the Wallabies but I'm also concerned about the Poms goal kicking prowess. They don't need to score tries and we'll need to score a few to get up.

Correct @sicnarf, although I'm sure the one team comp will be a discussion point for a number of key persons at the Tricolour's presso's tonight.
