    Southern Inland Rugby 2016

No club will ever please all members, particularly when it comes to such a big decision. I guess the difficult thing for those players who want to remain in SIRU is that the nearest club for them now is Junee or one of the uni teams.

Yep, Temora and Cootamundra are off to the Graincorp South Competition in Central West.

Yeah sorry about that Slim. Out here in the sticks, we're lucky to have running water let alone sewage and electricity. I hear colour TV is really cool too. Ma and Pa saw it once when they was in the big smoke and they still talkin bout it.

Holy yit balls, I must have been hiding under a rock for the past few weeks. CSU v Ag will be a blockbuster in 2016, particularly in a home and away format. Big call for a big bopper.

    Southern Inland Rugby 2016

The history of SIRU has evolved constantly and has always been a zone to try and work with clubs to get a reasonable outcome for all. I think the competition will actually become pretty even, it's going to be interesting to see how clubs handle the home and away competition, particularly if the...

No problems mate, I agree with your points and am aware that this has been something that the club has been discussing for a while now. Best of luck to the Yabbies in Canberra, this may be an opportunity to galvanise and strengthen the club with a genuine pathway through the footy club for...

Should we change the title of this thread to Riverina Rugby 2016?

Oh, and all but Hay have a women's team, although I reckon Waratahs will struggle to hold onto their women's grade if/when Sarge steps down.

If the above is correct my money will be on an 8 team first grade comp, a 9 team second grade comp (deni) on a home and away basis. A third grade comp will be sorted out early 2016.

The Yabbies juniors still stay with SIRU juniors. I think it would have been a pretty quick decision for them, they're very lucky to be where they are in many ways and why not look at the comp in Canberra to see how they stack up? I want to hear @ nipnipnip thoughts on this....

    Southern Inland Rugby 2016

Young are off to the Monaro Comp in 2016 in two grades plus 18's and 16's which is probably a good outcome for them as a club. Temora have their AGM tonight and will be discussing their options for 2016. Who knows what Cootamundra will do? I heard a rumour that the two Cootamundra "reps" at...

I hear that Monaro's are on special at McAlister Motors at the moment. Meeting tonight in Young to determine their future. Coota and Temora are waiting on info from Central West before committing to an option for 2016.

Nothing to come out of the AGM as yet. Board stays as is, Board will take away a number of proposals from the meeting to discuss in preparation for next season. My mail says that NSW Country are working on a proposal similar to the 2014 Graincorp North and South and that Young have an option...

    Rugby coaching / level 2

We need more Level 2 Coaches in my neck of the woods. It will really make you think about the game and you'll make some good connections at other clubs. I played as a second rower/back rower and I learnt a lot about the backs and other areas of the game - kicking, kick receipt, starter plays...

    Southern Inland Rugby 2016

There's no doubt that the AGM will be interesting, however I think that there'll be a pretty level headed approach to this by all clubs. I'll be surprised if the competition stays as the status quo, I just can't see it happening. The rumours and stories doing the rounds at the minute are quite...

Yes... I'm aware that this is on but haven't had a chance to look too far into it at present as details seem to be few and far between.
