Australia v NZ. Bledisloe Cup Series 2024. Sep 21, Sep 28

If Lynagh puts some weight/muscle on and learns to tackle and also drop-kick like Wilkinson then we are in with a shout in the future. I seem to remember his father was groomed in the centres before he took over at #10 for Wallabies?

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

"Couple names for NSW that were being listed in 2nds Colts sides by the end of the year... Good Clubs but still." Makes sense as Easts 1s Colts were mainly 20 Year Olds, and not eligible for U19s - last game they destroyed Gordon in the Forwards - Premiership Final ended 53-14; but it was all...

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

Major step forward (compared to last year) - at last some trials to allow those on the fringe to (potentially) announce themselves.

    Northern Hemisphere/6N Rugby

Very interested to see how this progresses, and if a B&I League comes about, what SA do - I can see the Italian sides joining the French Pro 14/D2 without too many issues - but would SA then think about coming back to Super Rugby?

Argentina v Australia TRC Round 4 Sunday 8 September 5am (AEST)

PSDT wears 7 but is technically a 6....vice versa for Kolisi.

It will be a tie (but don't hold your hypothetical breath).

Wallabies tour Argentina - simple ;-)

    Shute Shield 2024

I think the connection for Easts will be the Colts to Grade flow - great quality in the forwards, such that a couple of JWBs were actually left out of the Easts run-on side in the must-win games (including the final); shows the competition for places. Watched the Colts Finals y/s - Easts...

    Shute Shield 2024

Colts Premiership Finals: Colts 1s Easts 53 Gordon 14 Colts 2s Sydney Uni 28 Randwick 26 Colts 3s Easts 36 Sydney Uni 15 Each winning side takes the minor/major premiership double.

    Waratahs 2025

Indeed - Waratahs ignored him (as they ignored a few other players ) and keep the Academy bloated with a number of under performers. Glad he is back in NSW - talent ID is the Waratahs Achilles Heel.

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

So we lost to SA A+ : I have seen some poor OZ rugby, but I think that is the pinnacle l - could have been up at half time, but kicked it away (literally) in the second half.

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

Simple game - stop kicking the ball away - we've done it all game....nothing to do with that try, but just our strategy in general.

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

Masterful selections – Joe showcases his political, commercial and regional savvy.

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

And back to 7 (SA blindside) for Saturday's game...freakish player. Uber mobile 5 or rock solid blindside flanker.....which one you want to play against?

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

Likely off topic (apologies) but maybe we should consider 1 (or 2) OZ Teams based in Europe for the European URC? Too expensive I imagine? SA have bolstered that competition.

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

I'll be surprised if Tizanno is dropped - more likely, IMO, is that Wilson is moved to the bench and they change 6 and 8 around.

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

Tend to agree - just would swap Pietsch with Toole for outright gas - try and play a wider game. If we play two big blokes at #6 and #7 then I'd play them as left and right (like France play) and share the breakdown work, but I prefer Reimer at #7 for a start. SA don't have a pilfer specialist...

    Shute Shield 2024

The way it has worked out - Easts won all Male Grades plus won 1st and 3rd Colts Grades, while Manly finished 6th in many of theirs. The stars have aligned for Easts and Manly such that 5 out of the 6 games at Woollahra on Saturday involve those two teams.

    Wallabies 2024

Agree with Hooper at 6 and Valetini at 8, Wilson to bench and Reimer given a chance at 7. I would slot Toole in at 11 (he has gas to burn, and the SA wingers are small), and replace Pietsch (he is unfortunately feckless) with Flook (if he is fit), on the bench. A starting TT is a prerequisite...

    Shute Shield 2024

Gamble on the bench for Easts vs Uni tomorrow - Fergus LW starting at #8. Very strong side on paper.
