    Reds v Brumbies Rd 9 Sat 12th April @ Suncorp 7.35pm AEST

Just a bit of fun from the social media team "Suprise! Your Wallaby captain broke his arm last week. Bet you didn't see that coming"

    Waratahs v Chiefs - Friday 11 April 2025

    Goes without saying

    Waratahs v Chiefs - Friday 11 April 2025

The only conclusion is that Bell, Tupou and Gleason won't be selected for the Wallabies

    Reds v Brumbies Rd 9 Sat 12th April @ Suncorp 7.35pm AEST

I don't s'pose the Reds are going to tell us if it's the same arm as last year or anything like that?

    Refereeing decisions

For what it's worth, World rugby's research shows players who undergo the coaching intervention are much less likely to reoffend. No comment on taking a week off the penalty though

    QLD Premier Rugby 2025

Sounds like Souths need all the help they can get with grass roots. Sorry

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Would make sense for Nine to put the big games early on in the season (eg this year's Reds v Tahs) when there's no clash with NRL. Also finals games with Aussie teams Edit... And then back to reruns of Mrs Doubtfire though the rest of the season

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Yep, I think Wallaby games are a bit diffferent because we still get a critical mass of viewers for Bleds etc. It's still a bit of an event Young kids/teenagers will watch with the parents and friends etc. You won't get that with Super Rugby on FTA

    Wallabies 2025

I really don't understand these kind of comments. He's taken a 1 year contract in Japan, and will miss zero test macthes if selected by the coaches. Isn't he backing himself to keep getting selected for the Wallabies, and to come back for the World Cup?

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

The demographic trends are undeniable now. FTA is disappearing amongst anyone younger than 50. We will read lots of criticism about not having FTA based on kids not being exposed to rugby, but they just aren't watching FTA anyway. There's no exposure going on.

    Wallabies 2025

I don't think he's looking for a guarantee. More like, are you going to consider me for selection like the current coach, or not consider me for selection like the previous coach. Of course there would also be differences in the offer from RA with input from the coach as well, if one was...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

How many Rebels/rugby supporters cut Stan once they left, and didn't keep going with the Wallabies (or Super Rugby, Svns, or Champions League, or tennis, or whatever else) With respect to those on here, I'd suggest it isn't a very big number. I don't think it would make much of a difference to Nine...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Alternate headline? In return for not having to put super rugby on their free to air channels, Nine agree to pay RA an extra $13m a year.

    Super Rugby Pacific 2025

There's 1.5 extra tries per game, so there's only 20s saved through conversions per game, and a historically low number of penalty goal attempts which reduces the savings as well
  15. Strewthcobber

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

A fair bit of "trust me bro" with these numbers as they don't give the actuals, and a lot of the difference could probably also be explained by not having the low crowd and broadcast numbers for the Rebels included in the averages, but for what it's worth here is what Super Rugby is claiming...

    Wallabies 2025

Would be a better argument if Lolesio hadn't gone from not being selected at all by Eddie Jones, to being first choice under Schmidt. He probably feels like he was exactly the same player, just in and out of the team based on the whim of the coach. Who the coach is clearly matters, and changes...

    Queensland Reds 2025

A month ago they won 76% against the Crusaders, and a week before that 73% against the Force (I stopped checking there but rugbypass has every game if anyone else wants to have a look) I don't think it's one or two games

    Queensland Reds 2025

According to OptaJohnny, the Reds scrum is at 97% retention, and haven't given a penalty up on their own ball yet. Best in the comp The Brumbies are pretty much the same. Great battle on the weekend!

    Queensland Reds 2025

I think also the new non-compete non-straight lineout interpretation plays into it too, and adds to a greater chance of scoring as teams inevitably don't compete. One less thing to stuff up If I was coaching a team against the Reds, I'd be competing every lineout. Their maul is so good that...
