RWC 2015 Semi Final 2 - Australia v Argentina Twickenham, Monday 19 October, 2:45 AEDT

I like the way he's keeping an eye on Hooper. You just know that any sign of meercatting from Hooper is gonna earn a spray.

RWC QF 4 AUS v SCO (Twickenham) 19th Oct 0200 AEDT

I reckon after all this carry on that the next time we play them we'll put them to the fucking sword. Probably in front of a full house, if it's in Scotland.

RWC 2015 Semi Final 2 - Australia v Argentina Twickenham, Monday 19 October, 2:45 AEDT

Fair to say the crowd support will be against us for this match. It probably would've been anyway since everyone wants to see Argentina do well, but I'm sure the karma vigilantes will be out in full force to see Joubert's 'wrong' righted. I'm really nervous about this game. I probably...

RWC QF 4 AUS v SCO (Twickenham) 19th Oct 0200 AEDT

Just watched the game and think the Scots don't have much call to be aggrieved. The ref definitely gave them the rub of the green with the scrums. One in particular was a clear penalty to us that got given to them, and they kicked points from it. I hope Sio is ok.

RWC QF 3 IRE v ARG (Millenium Stadium) 18th Oct 2300 AEDT

Good game. Ireland's gameplan seems to depend more than most on getting good field position and penalties, which is where they rely so much on Sexton. They were still dangerous at the breakdown but Argentina wanted it more. After that first scrum I thought Ireland were in deep trouble, but...

RWC QF 1 WAL v RSA (Twickenham) 18th Oct 0200 AEDT

Wales would've missed Jonathon Davies probably (I've only seen him play a test against us once so I can't really rate him), but I don't think they would've missed Halfpenny given how Biggar was kicking. I guess if injuries were what was keeping Cuthbert in the side then they were pretty...

If the boks beat the kiwis next week they'll make another movie about it

The ABs won all the scrums too. Nothing for France to take away from that, except that they have a fullback who can kick 50m+ penalties.

The French make world cup history. I bet the Irish are feeling a bit silly about now.

If you're gonna do it at least put some nelly in it.

Am I the only one who's noticed that on the few occasions the frogs have made breaks there have been lazy AB runners in exactly the right position to block the halfback? Not to take anything away from a performance which should get the "favourites" albatross off our necks.

What was that pass to himself by NMS, followed by a Tuqiriesque crab across field?

I'm expecting the alternative French flag to be run up shortly into the 2nd half.

Jesus Heyneke enjoyed that try. I was a bit uncomfortable watching how much he enjoyed it. Not family-friendly viewing.

Actually according to this excellent article on the scrums in the match, France were on top until Ben Arous took a head blow, which was the turning point. http://www.the42.ie/ireland-france-scrum-analysis-2-2385386-Oct2015/

Is he? Don't recall hearing his name this WC so thought he was out. Yeah, stacked full of leaders. A bit ridiculous really. No wonder they do so well. But the loss of High King O'Connell still has to sting.
