RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

Suck it, Brian Moore. Really enjoyed that game, despite some Phipps-induced jitters. Now it's their turn to dread Aus/Eng scrums! Hooper could well be cited though, that 'clearout' looked positively South African. Foley, bravo! I'm sorry I doubted. Hopefully it wasn't just a one-off...

If ITV were ever going to get really dodgy with camera footage shenanigans aimed at influencing the refs, this would be the game for it. Millions on the line for them. Probably tens of millions. And who's to stop them?

Nice response from AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper): http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2015/oct/02/england-australia-danny-cipriani-rugby-world-cup

A bit of click-bait for you, the Independent announces their combined England/Australia XV: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/rugby/rugby-union/international/england-vs-australia-rugby-world-cup-2015-who-makes-our-combined-xv-after-danny-cipriani-claimed-not-a6677461.html Spoiler: 10 poms...

Some pretty shameless buttering up of Poite by Lancaster here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/international/england/11905694/Rugby-World-Cup-2015-England-ask-for-clarity-on-scrummaging-ahead-of-Australia-clash.html There's also a bit that caught my eye:

Maul defense for one thing. We're not likely to disrupt them in the air so we'll have to do it on the ground.

I hear learning to parallel park was a difficult time for Marler.

RWC: ENG v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A

I can't help but feel a bit sorry for Robshaw. Kicking for a draw from the touchline, or kicking for a win, 5m out in the Mauling World Cup. After they'd bullied the Welsh pack at the set piece all game. A try was the only way he was going to escape unscathed either way. It'll be 50 years...

Don't worry England, Big Brother is watching out for you.

    RWC: Australia v Fiji - 23 September 16:45, Millenium Stadium(24 September 1:45 AEST)

If it were just one game I'd chalk it up to a bad day at the office. But our lineout has been wobbly for a while now. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the worst lineout in the top 10. But I'd rather have a decent scrum than a world-class lineout, which it seems we do.

    RWC: Australia v Fiji - 23 September 16:45, Millenium Stadium(24 September 1:45 AEST)

I started watching in the second half, so the drop in quality was probably my fault. Sorry. Not getting the BP was a bit of a blow, considering crowd support will be against us in every match and Wales get to play Fiji at home. But the saffers were called arrogant for going for the try bonus...

The poms did their hill-running in the Alps. Not really a level playing field.

Ah, gotcha. Well good luck then. I don't intend to write the article I suggested, just so it's clear. Feel free to delete my 'contributions'.

OPEN INVITE - Posters (people who post) and ideas wanted for G&GR front page

One article that might be interesting is a recap of various times recently where the tv crew providing footage to the refs have influenced the game in favour of the home team. Incriminating angles not provided until after the decision has been made, foul/possibly foul play replayed umpteen...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I'm late to the show, but pretty perplexed with everyone else at how light on tight forwards the squad is. I would've thought that would be where you'd want the most cover, especially given all the utility backs we have at our disposal. Maybe Cheiks thinks that, given pool of death, if any of...

If Dick ever holds a seminar on job interview techniques, sign me up. People would fly in from all over the world. Maybe that's how they'll subsidize the loss of membership income.

Bledisloe #2 - AUS v NZL, Eden Park, Auckland, August 15th

ABs by 20, no tries to us. Maybe we'll claw back some parity when the benches are emptied, although the speculation will be whether we earned it or the ABs just took their foot off the pedal. Hoping for egg on my face, obviously.

Bledisloe #2 - AUS v NZL, Eden Park, Auckland, August 15th

I'm wondering how NZ will respond to the success of our rush defense. More chips? A lengthy discussion with the ref pre-match on the integrity of the offside line?

Bledisloe #2 - AUS v NZL, Eden Park, Auckland, August 15th

I guess by that I meant it's his last chance to show that he isn't the difference between a good scrum and a bad one before that view solidifies into gospel truth in the court of public opinion for the next couple of years.
