Medical Joker's predictions 1. Knox 2. Waverley 3. Cranbrook 4. Trinity 5. Barker 6. Aloys Cranbrook are interesting because this year's 16s have been so weak. Also, in this year's 1sts, a few of the 17s age group (ie last year's 16s) like Dickins are underaged year 12s, and won't be...

I wouldn't have Kemeny in the CAS 1sts either. I'd have both the Waves and Trinity 7s ahead of him.

Chip Kick's team has 7 Knox and 2 Waverley. Can anyone remind me who won the 16As game between those two? It also has Glastras at prop who AFAIK has never packed into a live scrum, and omits Byron HD who is by the fastest there and can play. Tiger Murphy is one of the first picked if fit.

Bit of a funny game. Cranbrook battled hard to stop Trinity getting on top. Trinity's forwards clearly on top physically, but had the obvious issue of dropped ball in those conditions, though the ground was in remarkably good shape - even the cricket pitch area. Cranbrook had the cross-wind in...

Nice team - but how can anyone pick Glastras for prop? He lays uncontested scrums every week, and last year he played flanker in the 16As or Bs (up an age). He has a league background. I'm not sure if he has played club rugby or has even ever packed into a live scrum. How can he be...

Trinity competed very well against Knox last weekend, despite having four 16s playing in the 1sts and one suspended (red card). Amazing what some high quality forwards coaching can do. They won't want to be Cranbrook's first ever win in that age group. I believe Trinity have their half and...

Longville is not a winger. Swap him and Stocks. And I do think you would want to find room for Rasch. He'll be there.

I still don't get why so many are so sore about Knox deciding to spend their money on a rugby program. If this is a school with 300 kids per year paying $30,000pa, then that comes to $54m in revenue. And that does not include the junior schools. Knox is easily big enough to justify spending...

Murphy if fit and Byron HD will be in there without a doubt. Towns and Cameron in the centres. Baker half and Trinity 10. Big Luca Moretti at 5 or 6. Those are the easier picks.

If South are looking for a 7 Chambers, the Trinity 1sts half, played 7 last year and on Saturday. Edmed did well at half back.

There's some pretty decent sour grapes being shown on here. If Knox or any other school decide to spend their fees in a certain way, that is a matter for that school. Moralising doesn't wash - ie "you only won because you have a professional coach". If one school wants to stick by older...

I wouldn't exactly say a week off for Thompson. A week off rugby. He was at a 4-day high performance training camp for his athletics (discus). Talented kid, and good bloke.

Sio Moore Holmes (Kepu if available) Coleman - more physical and dynamic than Arnold Simmons - needed for set piece prowess Fardy Hooper Pocock Phipps Foley Tomane assuming fit, otherwise not sure Kerevi Kuridrani DHP - big, good under high ball, good boot, needed in back 3 Folau - big backline...

Fair enough Wayne. The point is that Knox have got a well credentialed sprint coach to work with their rugby players, to work on their speed, flexibility etc. That is a good thing for Knox rugby, and any serious program should do the same. I fully agree. As I said, Trinity also has a highly...

Wayne it's a seriously unqualified opinion. Have you heard of Michael Dooley in Sydney alone? He's got a girl running 22.5 for 200. How many of the Knox boys will run that this year? Maybe you mean the best speed coach working in rugby. The lady might well be a very good coach, but being US...

I'm confused Chipkick and others. Isn't it Trinity v Aloys this week and Cranbrook v Barker? Knox v Waverley yes.

You do realise that "best speed coach in Australia" is a massive and incredibly subjective call. Don't you think some athletics coaches taking elite athletes might be in contention? Have a look at the Trinity sprinters at CAS Athletics this year. They might have something to say about who...

How can you guysd look at backlines like that? Harris an option for the Wallaby bench? Are you serious? Or Godwin or Hodge? Logically To'omua starts at 12 and Kerevi is the inside back sub. They are way ahead of the rest, with Beale out. Also, Reece Robinson is nowhere near ready for the...
