Beer pies and Doner kebabs! I wonder how you got your name Hugh?!!

    Shute Shield 2014

That all sounds terrific Hugh! Unfortunately the handbrake might not agree!

Parking is difficult. The stand is oddly positioned. Viewing from ground level is not ideal. The cricket pitch is annoying. Don't like any cricket grounds much really. Yeah, that's about it. When I went there as a young bloke and drank loads of beer it was more bearable!

That would be an amazing crowd. Manly Oval is probably my least favourite ground to watch rugby so unfortunately I'll have to give it a miss. Is it the TV game?

Ryan09 maybe you can tell me whatever happened to former Oakhill boy and Parra backrower Nick Boland?

    Shute Shield 2014

Congrats to all those Parra boys. Making 100 1st grade games or your very first is very special. Jeez it's tough being a Waratah supporter.

    Shute Shield 2014

The first time they knocked back the three points there was still ten minutes to go. In a low scoring game like that it was imo madness not to take the points on offer. Uni were getting plenty of territory and possession the chance of getting further penalties was high. Having said that I think...

    Shute Shield 2014

Sheer madness from Uni. When the score is 10-14 and three points is on offer then TAKE IT.

The cow - "To be brutally honest as well, Harvey milked it for all it was worth as well." I can assure you he was in a great deal of pain. He couldn't talk for most of the week.

I've never considered Bergelin as small but when you think about the Tahs back five, aside from Hooper, they are very large human beings.

What gets me is that these things weren't in back play, miles off the ball and the officials had no clue. That I could understand. No,they happened within five metres of the refs. The ball was there. They saw it. But they Sargeant Schultzed it. Unbelievable.

I'm sure he would've been suspended if he had faced a judiciary. Why didn't Wests cite? Good question. I think if he'd been yellow carded at the time then it would probably be forgotten about by now. The fact he got away with one very ugly incident plus a couple of other things still rankles a...

I don't mean to harp on it but I've had quite a few beers but the same Uni winger that shoulder charges and then elbows Harvey also does an excellent job of preventing the Wests chaser from getting to the ball to score at 31:40 on the video. He makes no effort to go for the ball himself he just...

What about kickers that take forever to line up? I went downstairs to get a cupuccino while the Uni goalkicker was making his interminable preparations and he still hadn't kicked it by the time I got back!!

    Shute Shield 2014

I do agree. It seems every scrum these days is an excuse for some players to sit down for a few minutes. It's frustrating to watch live. Games on TV I record so I can fast forward all that.

You're right Intruder it was an entertaining game. Check out the video at 37:10 in the second half. At this point it's 34-30 in favour of Uni. Wests half Rob Catanach goes blind and tries to pass behind the back of what he assumes is a decoy runner to Cohen Masson. Unfortunately decoy runner...

If you want to see the Harvey incident go to vimeo. Type in West Harbour Pirates and it's about the last video. The one where you can see Wests standing in defence. 20 min mark. I just noticed the same bloke hits Harvey with a nasty no arms tackle just moments before. Classy guy!!

    Shute Shield 2014

I would post the video but last time I posted something on a forum everyone got access to my youtube account so I'm a bit reluctant.

That sounds very odd. Very risky too. If it becomes a habit then they might find a lot of 2nds players back door it out of the joint and who could blame them? It's very annoying to be asked to sit on the bench and not get a run. A lot of coaches are guilty of doing that and I don't think they...
