the number 12 that the waratahs is looking for.

Apparently the Randwick 12 is only 17 years old. Bruce must be feeding the uni boys lots of that chicken- they looked 15% heavier than their opponents.

the number 12 that the waratahs is looking for.

I'd like to express how much this thread annoys me. There are plenty of skilled no. 12s playing colts for their Sydney clubs. Most have probably rejected league contracts to play the game they love and no doubt all aspire to play for the Waratahs and Wallabies. At the Uni v Randwick colts...

the number 12 that the waratahs is looking for.

Will he be as successful as Cooper Vuna at inside centre?

    Shute Shield 2011

It was embarassing. There is nothing skillful about a spear tackle on someone off the ball, or a forearm to the head of a player pinned under other tacklers. This moron spoiled a good hard game with his cheap shots. I hope his coaches redirect his energies.

Do the Rebels do any in house drug tests?

    Wallaby Outside Centre

I saw that try differently. The thing about Carter is that he read the play, stopped, turned and and almost prevented the try. Beale and Barnes who were defending inside him didn't even bother to slide in defence. They were lazy.

    Wallaby Outside Centre

I rate Horne, Inman and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) as great OCs, but none of them have any form at the moment for obvious reasons. Hopefully that will change. When I think about an inside centre for the Wallabies I look for someone who is big, fast, strong, can bend the line, get the ball away and push the opponent...

    Waratahs v Lions - 2011R14

With all the weeks focus on the lack of attacking flair, not much has been said about the quality of the Tahs defence last night. In the first half the Lions had a lot of ball near the try line but could never get through, whereas they successfully spread it wider in the second only to be...

    Waratah Fan Forum

I actually think the forum is a good idea. The Waratah fan to Waratah team connection is a very undeveloped one, that is we pay our money, turn up for the games, cheer and then they wave. If they play badly that connection is quickly strained or broken. Add to that all the player movement...

    Waratahs v Lions - 2011R14

When has Cross ever played inside centre? My point is that if Cross and Carter got run over by a bus tonight, we would be replacing them with two 19 year olds.

    Waratahs v Lions - 2011R14

NSW is supposed to be the largest nursery for rugby players in Australia. Does anyone else think it is strange we have to choose between a 32 year old (Cross) and a 19 year old (Kingston) to play outside centre. At inside centre, the next in line to Carter (28) appears to be Apo (19). As...

    Cipriani

Rugby is steeped in a drinking culture. 90% survive but 10% don't. The only time we care about that 10% is when they publically embarrass us, or in modern terms, embarrass our 'brand'.

    Can we have Cooper & O'Conner @10/12?

SBWvsJOC? I don't think so. I reckon that if Wayne Bennett has a say, he will be looking for the two biggest centres in Australia for the world cup.

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

The new headmaster of Waverley stopped financial support of all sports in 2004. I think you will find that the NCAA and most US colleges insist that their students on sports' scholarships achieve a minimum GPA, or grade point average, (about 2.8 out of 4.00) or they lose their benefits. They...

    Shute Shield 2011

Talakai moves Tilse out of Uni 1sts. Interesting selection. Go Samesi!

    Blues v NSW Waratahs @ Auckland - 2011R09

Agree. If the selectors won't pick Carter for the RWC they clearly don't understand how backline play has evolved.
  17. Torn Hammy

    Blues v NSW Waratahs @ Auckland - 2011R09

We should not let the second half cloud the fact that in the first half the Tahs were totally smashed by the Blues brutal physicality across the park. The Blues aggressive defence and hard running overwhelmed the disorganised and meek Tahs. The backline contest looked like the U10's taking on...

JOC (James O'Connor) to Rebels as well?

Has anyone seen working details of the 2012 salary cap? Beale and JOC (James O'Connor) won't leave much money for the rest. Brian.......cone back, all is forgiven.

    Shute Shield 2011

Good luck to Nic Stirzaker with his !st grade debut. Very smart player. Uni also have 3 junior Oz players in 2nd grade colts- Wylie, Millar and Hodge. This isn't good for the competition or the players themselves.
