    ISA 2019

Didn’t take long for the Papa effect to evaporate OR just a glitch in the auggies juggernaut. I’d suggest the latter.

    ISA 2019

Interesting observations CB. I’ve been watching ISA rugby for a long time and have NEVER seen Oaks struggle at 1st XV level - they always find that next gear when the boys transition into the Opens. I’d suggest they will fair better than current form suggests. Kinross may well be the dark horse...

    ISA 2019

Given results in recent weeks, the ISA title is a race between auggies, Stannies and gregs. Furthermore I’d think that gregs are slight favourites. Thoughts anyone?

That explains it - the “older” boys have left. If it’s ok to ask, who got approached by the NZ academy?

    ISA 2019

Interesting. Two years ago the U16 cohort at Stannies was referred to as the best age group in years to come through the College, and watching them play back then I’d have to agree. So I thought they would give the ISA title a good shot this year. Now I’m not so sure.

Stannies got absolutely thumped by Kings today. Did not see that coming. Can somebody explain what happened?

    ISA 2018

Auggies beat St Pats yesterday 36-5. Too big, too strong. This means Auggies undefeated ISA champs. Congrats to them. Around the grounds? Keen to know how the battle of the west went.

Half time at Hornsby. Barker very, very good. 39-0.

    ISA 2018

@Rugbybloke123 “scrum will need work” —- understatement. I hear injuries are already taking its toll at SPC already. The report on the Stannies v Scots game confirms them as ISA favourites. Looks to me as only Auggies could trouble them. However, given the woes at the sea-eagles, a couple of...

That is really dumb scheduling - why organise a trial when the team is away? Or have I misinterpreted something

Did Oakhill field a legit 1st XV today OR are Barker outstanding? Also, have heard there are only two open teams at Pius this year - confirm anybody?

    ISA 2018

@pilfer80 the #7 for St Pats looks to be a machine - tackled everything that moved and often got to his feet and did his own counter rucking. Does anybody know his name? I heard he went out to New South Head Road after the game and tackled some cars for a bit of fun. Also, three words that will...

@AllCats... no need for the f-bombs - keep them for school yard, not here or the moderators will delete your posts. You seem to have some good things to say, so would hate to see you banned. This year will be a battle between Stannies and Auggies - both have strong U16 ('17) cohorts coming...

    ISA 2017

Congrats to Stannies 1st XV - well deserved premiership. Given the strength of their 16a team they could easily go back to back. I've always said that if Gregs put their mind to it they could become a rugby powerhouse. Well, just over a week ago I heard that Gregs 16a defeated Auggies. This...

    ISA 2017

The refereeing on Saturday at breen was spot on. The ref is an experienced, no nonsense ref who has refereed at much higher levels than ISA 1st XV. These refs have seen it all before and don't take too kindly to the tactics of schoolboy ill discipline. If Gregs or Pats were penalised it was...

Big effort at BREEN today. 16a to Auggies 19-10. 1st XV to Auggies 32-17. Whilst a loss is never great, big improvement by St Pats from round 1. Well done to St Pats.

@peterparker72 - you make a good point re Stannies and Kinross last year - that was counter to ISA conduct (and fundamental social decency). My understanding is that the issue has been addressed by both schools - unlikely to see a repeat. however, pointing the finger at that incident doesn't...
