Twickenham Stadium Tour (and World Rugby Museum)

Whilst I'm back in the UK for a few days on hols, I took the opportunity today of going on a stadium tour of Twickenham and visiting the Rugby Museum in the stadium. Cost was £14 which I thought was quite reasonable and the tour lasted 90 minutes. Just 10 or so of us in the group and the tour...

The Wallaroos - Women's RWC Thread

I went to the Rugby Museum at Twickenham today whilst I'm over here on holiday. They've got a special exhibition on the Womens RWC on at the moment, very interesting. One of the displays is the cup itself - photo attached.

    Shute Shield 2010

Great, I bugger off to the UK for a few days and Gordon pulls off the game of the season. Bet the steak sandwiches were better as well :)

Gits and Drew getting ready to face the Boks...by playing 3rd div subbies.

At least the Balmain coach can see what Robbie cant and is playing Shiteau at 12 :)

    LOCKED: Time to Sack Deans?

Suggest you tell your work colleague to take his hand off it and actually get out and watch some junior games. And Naza, I love this thread. It's my guilty little secret pleasure. And perhaps yours as well, seeing as you keep coming back :)

    LOCKED: Time to Sack Deans?

SW, please excuse my french but you are talking out of your behind my friend! Yes, because of course us Aussies arent known for our tall poppy syndrome are we? We would never call for the head of Eddie Jones. Or John Connolly? When was the last time you saw a junior rugby game? The scrums...

    Wallaby tactics

Are you forgetting the "Fuck, I've no idea what to do with the ball, I'd best kick it away and hope it finds space or the touchline" move? Usually #2 or #3 on the Wallaby playlist, exemplified by Barnes and less successfully by Shiteau.

RH?? You mean Ross Hopkins? Would surprise me as I believe he has his own business here.

Wallabies v All Blacks Christchurch Sat 7 August, 2010

For some reason, the game felt really flat to me and without atmosphere. Maybe the ground effects mics were on a low level, maybe it was a genuine flat game, maybe I was still mourning Gordon's thrashing earlier in the day. A lot of this has been said before but Shiteau lived up to his name...

AUSTRALIAN MEDIA NOT HELPING (Including you Scarfman).

Scarfie, I'd be more upset with Kearnsie calling you a Jarpie during last nights broadcast. Must be the gay accent thing.

    Dwyer speaks truth

Scarfie old chap, I said prestige and rugby knowledge. We all know that therefore excludes his Hickyness!

AUSTRALIAN MEDIA NOT HELPING (Including you Scarfman).

And you go to ground yourself. You can tackle a player and bring him to ground but if you havent gone to ground yourself, you are not deemed to be a tackler and are therefore not obliged to fulfil the requirements of a tackler at the breakdown. In this situation, there is also no gate through...

    Dwyer speaks truth

There are rumours that a future visitor to the UK and the Gagger locale carries even more prestige and rugby knowledge........;)

Wallabies v All Blacks Christchurch Sat 7 August, 2010

Wrong thread I know but Gordon havent featured in any TV game this year. Not sure if that is a good or a bad thing :)

Have you ever lost "respect" for your favourite players?

I dumped Bieber from my Twitter feed a couple of days ago and those comments from Schmoo and Git have now prompted me to ditch them as well. Its very a fulfilling and cathartic feeling - Deans should try it sometime :)

    Wallabies v All Blacks Melbourne

Can someone please tell me how Carter was offside for his charge down try? Kafe was going on again about last night on the Rugby Club. From what I could see, the only time there was an offside line was at the previous ruck. The vision shown again last night clearly shows Genia getting the ball...

    Drew Mitchell - not suspended

Apart from putting out a media release saying he fucked up and dropping him from his next game. Would hate to see what POB would do if he really wanted to cane someone.

    Drew Mitchell - not suspended

Interesting article TB. It says the IRB instructions to refs on analysing the seriousness of an offence are to start with the possibility of a red card and then move down in seriousness. Would perhaps seem a little strange that the IRBs first instinct is to reduce the number of players on the...

    Wallabies team for next week?

And as I mentioned elsewhere, he's been playing so well in the centres that he played on the wing for the Woodies on Sunday.
