Australia A (aka Barbarians) v England II, Gosford

There is a minibus going up from Sydney at lunchtime. Stopping at Iguanas for lunch and then onto alternative hydration facilities through the afternoon (have been led to believe this may involve some form of dancing!!) before hitting the stadium. Should be an interesting outing.

Thank fark for that. Has he gone straight away? If so, hopefully Gordon can fill his spot in the firsts with a forward who can actually hit the rucks and use his size appropriately. This is truly a good day and hopefully the turnaround that Gordon need to kickstart their season.

    Shute Shield 2010

Gordon v Penrith tomorrow has been postponed.

    Waratahs 2011

Wouldnt be so quick to write Alcock off either.Despite all the platitudes for Waugh and Dingo insisting his international days are not necessarily over, there has to be a strong possibility that this will be his last season before building his pension in Europe/Japan. Would therefore make...

    Shute Shield 2010

Just noticed they're quoting Gordon playing Penrith at Uni. Interesting.

    Shute Shield 2010

Not surprised at Vinne coming back at 9 for Gordon. As well as Tom Sully has played there, Vinnie seemed to add a little something when he came on last week. Maybe a few weeks in reserve grade has done what it was probably meant to, i.e. get some of the hunger and passion back. Very...

    Club Players with potential

The only running he did last Saturday was with the water - which impressed me, good to see him putting in the hard yards for the club off the field. Mr Halangahu however was lording it as a spectator (very well it must be said) all rugged up with his scarf on. Bless. And I also think I saw...

S14: Final - North vs South Soweto

Forgot one massive refereering blunder though that went in the Stormers favour, namely the try that was given that was a no-try due to the ball being about 6ft from the tryline. What on earth possessed Joubert not to go upstairs for a ruling?

    Tigers vs Saracens

Must admit the Tigers did seem to get the rub of the green with the officials. Blatant obstructions (some may call it very well executed dummy runs), holding back off the ball, penalties for being taken in the air when they werent and subsequent kicks being awarded in the wrong place. Lots of...

    Tigers vs Saracens

What a great game. Had a friend over today who brought across a shed load of seafood. We watched the S14 whilst chowing our way through that and enjoying a lovely 2004 Semillon and then had a great Roast Beef with all the trimmings and a wonderful 2003 Shiraz whilst watching the GP final. Never...

S14: Final - North vs South Soweto

Wasnt that impressed with Joubert's refereeing. Thought his interpretations at the breakdown were very sus and Burger had every right to get the shits. Surely when a ruck has formed (i.e. two players from opposing teams forming a bind to each other with the ball on ground), it should be hands...

    Shute Shield 2010

That is really sad. WTF is going on at the club? Are there behind the scenes political struggles that are having their affect on the team? I was there early yesterday and it was interesting to watch the various reserve and 1st grade players and watch their interactions and body language. It all...

    Shute Shield 2010

Sat next to his brother and GF yesterday. His brother is a Leaguie and was perplexed by a lot of the inane play from Gordon (but then again so were most of us rugger buggers). Dion seemed to go OK with what little ball he had. With better service and support from his centres, think he'll do...
