    Rebels 2014

Ours are 2 x platinum and 1 x supporters. The supporters pack is the one that has arrived. We renewed in the first week. I hope they come soon. Otherwise I'll be wearing this year's jersey and last years cap to the trial games... and that will be a horrible fashion faux pas ;)

    Rebels 2014

Just wondering if there are any other people that haven't received their membership packs yet? So far one out of three of ours have arrived. I called the club yesterday and they told me that they've all been sent out, over two weeks ago. And, in other news, the 2014 jersey is selling for...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

    Too many Waratahs :p

    Rebels 2014

I'm just catching up on some of the posts on the Rebels website. I thought the short interview with Bryce Hegarty was interesting, he says Mitch Inman could be playing more at 12 this year. Just hypothesising but, if Inman goes to 12 then English would probably play 13, where to for Ellison...

AFAIK, he's played mostly at Outside Centre for Japan and Yamaha. The Brumbies look like they have just signed the other Japanese Centre, Haru Tatekawa. Both of them can also play at 5/8.

Let's hope they can tackle better than they sing.

Pyle has been VC before but has a lot more experience now so he might be a good choice. I'd like to see one of the young backs get the gig eventualy but for 2014 I'd rather see them concentrate on developing their own game.

I think that, with such a young/inexperienced group, Burgess is probably the most obvious choice for VC this year. Beyond this year, maybe Tom English? McGahan has already mentioned him as being in the leadership group so he no doubt has some potential.

Wallabies to play Great Britain Rugby League team.......... ugh.........

The article is quoting a match payment of around $50k per player. I reckon a few of them would be putting their hands up for that nice little earner.

Wallabies to play Great Britain Rugby League team.......... ugh.........

I really don't like the whole idea but, I'll probably still watch it. There has been an AFL/Gaelic football hybrid game played for years between Aus and Ireland and it's pretty horrible.

Did you register an account just to post that? Blues Recovery does have a pic of Robert Johnson for an avatar but RJ died about 75 years ago so it can't actually be him. We've done alright with the other wrangers that we already have. I hope this one turns out just as well. Assuming Pat...

    Japanese Rugby

I've also spent a fair bit of time in Japan, usually around two months or so each year. I went to both the Wales and All Black test matches this year, good fun! I'm no expert on Japanese Rugby but I've seen a bit of it. As mentioned, rugby is largely ignored by mainstream media, baseball is...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

It might be a bit of bias here but I'm hoping that Luke Jones has a breakout season next year playing at 6 and forces his way into the Wallabies by the EOYT.

I'd like to see some of those two points turned into four points though.

I wish they would record the version of the song as sung by the players (although maybe not by the players). This version (it's at 0.55sec)... And put the lyrics up on the screen when it's played. And ditch the DJ. Am I the only one that doesn't mind Drumline?

Apparently nowhere. He's staying at HB and hoping to be picked up by an NZ team next year.

I was at that game. I'm not sure if it was just because of the different coloured jersey or not but I thought Shota looked like he had put on a bit more beef. He also seems to have ditched the scrum cap in favour of tape. He did miss a few tackles but the kiwis were running riot at times and...

I hope Alex does have a big 2014 but I think it's going to be tough for him to get much game time again. Unless he really steps up he's probably about our 5th choice winger and 4th in line for full back.

Two memberships renewed and one new one from my place. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to Prince Chichibu Stadium to watch a test match :p
