    Global Rapid Rugby

I don’t think the Sunwolves will exist anymore in any capacity. The JRU has decided to stop funding it as they are wanting to put the cash into the University and Top Leagues comps (not that I agree with this). The most likely Japanese team would be a top league company team.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Sunwolves apparently have been confirmed to be chopped. Next season will be their last

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Any Japanese team wouldn’t work because they would be into the top league season at that stage.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I think NZ and Aus ideals are becoming more aligned. There is plenty they don’t agree on but it’s just the impression I get that they are more aligned now with RA than this time last year. Both have been some of the loudest supporters of the world league but SA has been very quiet (obviously...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I mentioned this a long time ago, but should we look back at having a Super Rugby competition (13 games + finals), then scrapping the NRC and having a 5/6 team (Tahs, Brums, Rebs, Reds, Force, Fiji) in a domestic 10 round competition after its finished. There would be weeks where wallabies...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I think a better result would to do that with an SA game. It’s not the Arg’s that are trying to kick them out but on saying that the only loser in that scenario is the Aus teams

    Where to for Super Rugby?

As a paying member I would be very disappointed if my offering (which is already dramatically less than I can engage with with other sports) is reduced any more. It’s almost reaching exhibition level. I’d almost have more chances to see Nadal or Federer play a tennis match in Melbourne than the...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Rugby is obviously in a state of evolution, the past couple of weeks might be concerning but it could also be revolutionary. In a strange way I think the concerns are creating the structure that is needed to be sustainable. It’ll take a another couple of years of bizarreness and strange...

    Reds 2019

Rugby.com.au reporting that Timu looking at France for next year, would be a real shame. I think he could be a real star in the right team.

    Round 5: Lions v Rebels - Sun12:05am @Emirates Park

I don’t think many are whinging about the Rebels been penalized but it was pretty apparent only one side was reffed. Of the 20 penalties prob 15-16 of them were absolutely correct, which is probably reflective of most games (75-80%). But it was very clear the Ref sub consciously had eyes for one...

Unless he gets an early release, To'omua will only be available for the last 2 games of the season

    Rebels 2019

Only 1 point from the game. 4 try bonus points haven’t been around for 2/3 years. Need to score 3 more try’s than the opposition to earn a try scoring bonus point

    Round 5: Lions v Rebels - Sun12:05am @Emirates Park

One things needs to be clear, the Rebels lost that game more than the Lions were handed it. There was clearly only one team been policed, but some serious poor game management lost this game. The reserve pack also got absolutely blown off the park and deserved from a scrummaging point of view...

    Round 5: Lions v Rebels - Sun12:05am @Emirates Park

I’m going to have my whinge. The Rebels bottled that one, there is no excuse been that far up and losing but seriously some of those penalties were almost verging on fabricated and when it was 50/50 it was definitely favored in the home teams way. Meakes sin binned without touching the ball for...

    Round 5: Lions v Rebels - Sun12:05am @Emirates Park

Rebels haven’t been great but it’s been very much one sided with the whistle

    Round 5: Lions v Rebels - Sun12:05am @Emirates Park

Meakes sin binned for slapping the ball down when he doesn’t even touch it

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Beale hasn’t been that bad in his 3 games Vs hurricanes = DNP Vs Sunwolves = one of the best on the field - 7/10 Vs reds = one of the best on the field - 7/10 Vs Brums = average game but not bad - 5/10 Not setting the world alight but not ‘out of form’

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Jones has been immense this year, last week the game changed once he came on (admittedly Philip was carrying an injury) and week 1 dominated a very good Brums lineout, was also fairly decent against a good Highlanders pack. Philip has been very good as well, but a Jones/Rodda combo has some...

    Round 5 - Brumbies vs Waratahs - Friday 15 March @ 7:45pm in Canberra

This was so underplayed last week, while all the talk was about the turf there was little talk about the massive impact it had on the game, especially nullifying a team that would of destroyed them come scrum time.
