Ben McCalman is still learning the ropes, he could go on to fill the boots.

Strengths and weaknesses of Super teams

Seems to be a theme growing here: next season is a big one for coaches, and for some a bigger year than it is for the players they coach. Graham will be under the usual pressure to bring quick change to a side that has great potential but needs to perform, and fast. But he will also have extra...

    Brumbies 2011

Did they oil it because of the squeaking? ;) But seriously, that's interesting as I recall Rob Horne also had a specialist change the way he ran (and maybe his gait, too) because of his constant injuries.

Gnostic, why do you speak of these rumours in the past tense? Or is has this post been sent back through time by a black hole....

I think he was leaning towards "good enough to play" Bruce.

God help us if they find a tank for eight, haven't they got enough big units?!

    Reds 2011

I think moving to a new team and having to get to grips with new personnel, the off field pressures of getting settled in a new town and having a new coach that had to get used to him all made for a hairy start to the season. But the bumpy ride settled down by the end of the season and he...

No, it doesn't. It means he kicks well, runs well in attack and runs the attack well, and leads the defensive line forward and tackles at 100%. The last two things make him better than Cooper.

I'd prefer an in form Barnes to an in form Cooper.

Vaea will need to step up. Edit: I mean to become the backup eight they will need in the extended season, not to fill the captaincy role.

A lot of the time there is just pushing...

It would probably be helpful for grabbing someone by the collar.
