Rebels V Tahs smashes Super Rugby(Aus) ratings record

The earlier games in NZ helps as well- those who are waiting around for the Loig games or just have some downtime in the afternoon can catch the NZ games.

    Reds vs Rebels - 2011R05

Actually, it will be a lot easier for Morty to run at Quade from the 12 channel than from 13. Fair call.

    Cheetahs vs Waratahs - 2011R05

HSBC WARATAHS 15. Kurtley Beale (Randwick) 14. Atieli Pakalani (Randwick) 13. Lachie Turner (Eastwood) 12. Tom Carter (Sydney University) 11. Drew Mitchell (Balmain) 10. Berrick Barnes (Sydney University) 9. Luke Burgess (Sydney University) 8. Wycliff Palu (Manly) 7. Pat McCutcheon (Sydney...

    Reds vs Rebels - 2011R05

The Morty at 12 experiment has reared it's head again. He looked to be finding form again last weekend, dunno if I agree with tinkering the minute he seems comfortable at 13.

    Cheetahs vs Waratahs - 2011R05

Maybe Fitz is on the outer? Or maybe they're just looking for a different style of play.

    Bring Back Rucking

Blues don't mind the good stuff either, check out 5.36 in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wbd2-9dz_C8

    Nathan Sharpe

Some of the players will hang around until then, sure, but some of them will have time to play the RWC this year and then have a one or two year sabbatical overseas and return home in time to throw themselves into the selection mix for 2013. So really there's a choice of strategy; try to...

    Wallabies world cup squad selection

Only thing I'd add to your post, Ged, is Mark Gerrard. We need a different style of player for some games, he's a different type of player to the other wingers and fullback. Nice start, welcome aboard, Ged.

    Brumbies MOM v Crusaders

That's not really what I was trying to say. At the moment, I would say Aus rugby doesn't have a great track record in training props who are great around the park to scrum; maybe we can try doing the opposite.

    Brumbies MOM v Crusaders

Agree boonboon, we should be picking props to prop. If we stabilise our scrum we won't need him to do anything around the park, the back's will handle the rest.

    Waratahs 2011

That's a heartbreaking story. Puts the twitter and player power bullshit into perspective, doesn't it?

    Brumbies MOM v Crusaders

Here's hoping Deans sees the light. It can be our Christmas, Birthday and anniversary presents, Robbie!

    Rebels vs Sharks - 2011R04

In contrast to Round 1, some glimpses of excellent defense. Rebels did very well to hang on to their lead as long as they did with just 14 men only the field for part of that time.

    Brumbies v. Crusaders - 2011R04

Yes, it's Rea's fault for not turning the team around in a week.

    Wallabies world cup squad selection

Stephen Moore and Ashley-Cooper would be the two I would select.

    Australian Rugby Team's Biggest Liability

I voted for defence, because twice in the Republic we raced away to big leads only to have to come from behind to win. We need to put hits on. As in the Ray Price school of Bledisloe Cup games "The only way to get an All Black to respect you is to belt him." I think it's the only way to beat...

    Force v Blues - 2011R04

Wasn't there talk that Fruean was a defensive liability? Also I seem to recall some murmors about him riding SBW to the top, feeding off SBW's class. Seems to be a good player, just wondering what those who have seen him in more than two games think?

    Brumbies v. Crusaders - 2011R04

The beauty of, not to mention comfort that comes with depth.

    Rugby - not set pieces

Great idea, LG. This will be a useful thread this year, with the RWC on we'll see some amusing and interesting stuff from the minnows I'm sure.

    Force vs Sharks - 2011R03

So all the South Africans come out with a clean bill of health while the Australian journalists are attention whores and Pocock is an "immature brat"?
