Certainly after day one they were the team to beat, came out of the blocks on day 2 a little sluggish and were caught on the back foot. The play was not as polished as day one maybe a little too much individual play. Standouts were Reece Hewitt, Jayden Ngamanu and Dylan Riley had solid games...

As did BBC last year being the team to beat on paper with TSS rumoured to have had their worst ever line up in 2014, the result was 46-10 to TSS. I think it comes down to who wants it more. All that said if BBC have a good Sanix tour with little or no injuries they do stand a good chance. Rumour...

The boys participating in 1st XI GPS cricket are forbidden to attend ruby training at some schools. This will put them at a disadvantage at the start of the season especially at the trials.

My prediction is it is going to be closer than you think between the top 4 (NC, Churchie, BBC and TSS). There will be a mixture of wins and losses between them with not much in the scores. All will depend on the bounce of the ball on the day.

Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2015

You obviously have a huge opinion of the Scots Team, which is fair given their domination down South but spare the Qld boys a fair go, they do have some exciting players coming through. It would be good for a "End of the Season" GPS winners showdown between NSW and Qld.

My thoughts are that it should be separated at the school level as it does disadvantage the boys wanting to pursue the union code but get snubbed by the NRL players. The NRL code should be encouraging the schools to start up a Schools NRL Competition.

TSS I think have 8 players from last year, Angus Allen, Calum Ball, Tipene Mavoa, Emery Pere in the fwd's and Lenac, Campbell, Whitbread and Riley in the backs, not sure about any new blood.

Looking at the 7's team makeup, BBC have the most representation which would mean they would have a relatively fast back line and on paper look good in attack. Churchie I think have lost a few key backline players. However, the difference will be which teams forwards create the opportunities.

The Youth Championships are taking place at Narabeen in Sydney (Australian Sports Academy) on the 28th Feb & 1st March. Rumor has it they will be picking the Comonwealth Youth Games Squad (Samoa - September 2015) at the Championships.
