Wells injured or dropped? I thought he'd been going well so far.

In his presser last week, DW pretty much said the preferred pecking order for outside centre is English, Magnay, Hodge, then Kellaway. Sounds right, IMHO. Completely agree re DH-P and Louwrens.

    Rebels 2020

Absolutely agree that Hodge is a fullback. It's clearly his best position but he's also pretty decent at inside centre. Moving him to 15 now though means a complete reshuffle of the backline. I think leaving him at 13 and moving Kellaway to 15 would be a lot less disruptive.

2020 Super Rugby AU Round 4 Waratahs vs Melbourne Rebels

The game stats on ESPN look so one-sided that you'd think the scoreline would have been closer to 59-10. Good scrambling defence by the Tahs and lack of finishing ability from the Rebels kept the score down.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Japan's new league is looking to raise 50b yen..... around $664m AUD through broadcast rights and sponsorship. Nice work, if you can get it. https://www.sportspromedia.com/news/japan-rugby-domestic-league-tv-rights-sponsorship-plans

2020 Super Rugby AU Round 4 Waratahs vs Melbourne Rebels

The tinkering that was done with the laws has done SFA insofar as making the game flow better. The only variation that has been worthwhile is the goal line drop-out when the defending team grounds the ball in goal. They seem to have fixed a problem that never existed and ignored the glaring...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Yeah, but isn't it refreshing to hear someone actually express some ambition and optimism instead of the usual naysaying?

Cracking game. Loved every minute (except for the intercept try, that bit sucked). Does anyone know how many penalties Hooper gave away? It seemed like a lot. Philip MOTM.

    Wallabies 2020

Philip has stated that he thinks a stint in the NH will be good for his rugby and might help him get selected for the wobs. Not saying it isn't primarily for the Euros but he does seem very keen to play in gold again.

As long as rugby never considers introducing an interchange bench. That terrible idea ruined AFL, IMHO.
