    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

Anybody willing to do a count of 13A posts vs 1st 15 posts. I appreciate the info on budding young player and I can't blame anybody if nobody else is posting for 1st 15 games ( I live in the US so I don't make it to many/any matches) I would like to suggest to the moderators to create two...

Rugby Union is never going to be a game "for the masses" here. I think its a good thing that we concentrate as much young talent in the GPS and AAGPS systems as possible. Gives them a chance to play at the highest level available at their age groups. Kind of like a Super comp for School Boys...

Jeez, I just got to say.... We can rightly complain about the current state of the national team.. We can moan on and on about rugby in Australia being an elitist private school game... We can also whinge about how rugby scholarships in those private schools are tainting the purity and fairness...

Agreed, the Scotts team, apart from 1 or 2 dominant ball runners, did not look anywhere near as good as previous NZ schools from the past two Sanixs. I understand they were NZ champions last year but perhaps this is a weaker age group coming through, or they have a lot of injuries.

Can I start talking up BBC yet...or did I just jinx the whole season for them?

I know but tune in about 12 hours from now to find out the result. Looking at the SA team its hard to believe that the Aussies can win. They are so big and well drilled

It was their 1st game of the tournament against probably the strongest Japanese school in the comp. The BBC team looks big and strong though a little rusty and maybe not as match fit (or big and strong) as the SA team at that same point in time. Also strange referring and opposition team tactics...

And yes BBC to be beat by 20 plus tomorrow by the Kiwis. But Nudgee still won QLD GPS the year they competed and came 3rd.......maybe BBC can win in QLD GPS? BTW Lets take into account SA and NZ have a system where by the National champ plays in the tournament and Australia just sends a team...

Well, there is a few games viewable on youtube so far (search sanix rugby). None of BBC but Scotts (NZ), Truro(ENG) and Parl(SA) all have games up. Parl and Truro (playing in one semi) both look big, fit and well drilled. I would put my money on the South African team. Looks like they can go...

All I can say, is good luck BBC. You have already done everyone in Australia proud. Take it to the Kiwi boys in the next game and smash them!

Same problem here. Our boys are playing their first real matches of the year in a premier "bragging rights" tournament. It is like having our rowers in the Henley Regatta before the start of the season. Of course it is just a seasonal thing. I would just love to see the best HS sides...
