    Gay Rugby World Cup

But then they all go back to normal rugby competitions. Shouldn't we improve rugby's tolerance and acceptance of homosexuality instead of transplanting it's gay players into their own World Cup?

    Gay Rugby World Cup

Shouldn't we do that through the normal passages of the game, instead of creating a separate competition?

2012 Rugby Championship Round 4 Game 2 Australia vs Argentina - 15 Sep

Who would you prefer? Also, what were you expecting to happen?

2012 Rugby Championship Round 4 Game 2 Australia vs Argentina - 15 Sep

Spot on, what they need now is time at the Test level to continue their development.

No, and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) and McCabe aren't mediocre. But I'm getting an inkling that you think McCabe is ;) They both have the skills you outlined; obviously not as good as the players you mentioned but they are both dynamic, strong running, good defending and tackling players who can hit the gas...

2012 Rugby Championship Round 4 Game 2 Australia vs Argentina - 15 Sep

I don't think you, me or anyone knows how this centre combination will compare to the great combinations of the past, and I think such comparisons are not productive. The coach does the best with what he has and picks the players he feels will perform the best within the existing team...

2012 Rugby Championship Round 4 Game 2 Australia vs Argentina - 15 Sep

I think you're exaggerating the passing point, Scotty. Their primary skill may not be passing buy it doesn't mean they literally will not distribute the ball, thus killing any chances we have of winning. Furthermore, why is it we need a ying and yang centre combo? Because NZ have one? Well...

2012 Rugby Championship Round 4 Game 2 Australia vs Argentina - 15 Sep

Don't forget the unseen; Taps may not be 100% fit, might not fit into what Deans wants in the backline or might not be training as hard/well as others. I agree he deserves a shot from the outside perspective.

2012 Rugby Championship Round 4 Game 2 Australia vs Argentina - 15 Sep

I don't think McCabe and Ashley-Cooper are that similar tbh; AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) doesn't seek contact the same way McCabe does. McCabe runs hard into spaces or at players (less so the latter, which is good progress) while AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) uses his fend and step more. Saia Fainga'a's continued selection does worry me. I...

    Will Genia's injury

Well no one knows how successful White will be if he eventually does play for the Wallabies. He does have potential to be a good player at the highest level but it is at this point unrevealed.

    Will Genia's injury

What was the alleged raw deal that Nic White got?

    Scrum Talk

Anyone care to suggest a one-syllable word that accurately describes a scrum engagement? "Crunch"?

    Will Genia's injury

Anyone know if Burgess is worth getting back? Has he kept up his game or let it slip to French standards?

The dying - perhaps death - of Rugby in Australia.

    Nice and Sydney-centric there.

    Rumour: Deans could be gone

I'm still sore about going down 3-nil in that series against NZ pre-federation.

    Vickerman

Wasn't trying to pass any snide comments, Brucie, although you're right about the research. Look before you leap, well I didn't. I still believe it would have been more productive to attend the interview than not.

    Vickerman

Why not? There's more than one coaching position at the Waratahs, and having experience coaching at a Super franchise before getting a head coaching gig is obviously favourable. Sounds like cutting off one's nose to spite ones face.

    Vickerman

    Did he attend said interview?

    Vickerman

Without Vickerman, 2011 would have been a much tougher year for the Wallabies. I for one hope our current crop of locks provide the same longevity that Sharpe and Vickerman have. Both of these guys shined brighter in the latter stages of their ride on the rugby carousel IMO.
