Sometimes being undefeated wasn’t enough to get him to make an appearance in the team photo. I played in one of his teams that was undefeated and didn’t have a single try scored against us (trials or comp). I can’t find the photo now but I am pretty sure he didn’t appear.

Don’t forget Br Emery’s very long stint as the 14a’s and b’s coach. Lots of tough love and simple rugby coached into a few generations by him.

My guess is that they will take a very liberal view of what a zone is and continue to monitor attendance, temperature etc. far more dangerous to walk through Westfield than play rugby in my non medical person opinion. Anyway, rugby is the game they play in heaven. We have god on our side...

    Likewise Joeys.

Unlikely, the schools will keep the boys occupied and there is the smallest of possibilities they still get to play.

Seems like you have an issue with GPS rugby, why participate in the forum? The truth is that a lot of players play club and school through to 16’s. After that the work load is too much to do both and the rep pathways change. Would you seriously expect a 1st XV player to front up for club on...

A lot of boys play school and club, my sons club team is more than half made up of boys playing GPS / CAS etc . The GPS boys in particular are very cranky about the inconsistency.

    That would be sensible.

Totally agree and such inconsistencies will make it so much harder to take. Why word the statement as “suspended”?

Not to mention the risk of a lot of teenage boys with no outlet for all that testosterone. The old Joeys headmaster back in the 80’s was often heard to say “tired boys are good boys”.

Say it ain’t so, I am not ready to accept this.

The majority of boys will spend all week travelling to and from school on public transport, crammed into buses and trains. Somehow a game of rugby on an open field, fresh air and sunlight is too dangerous.....

Joeys Vs Kings next week is going to be a huge match. What chance spectators will be allowed?

    NSW AAGPS 2020

I had heard several weeks ago, from a Kings insider that He won’t play. The same person said that he now might play against Scots. So it will be interesting to see if he is on the field this afternoon. That said, if I was coaching the Kings 1st XV then I would politely explain to him that he...

I hear that Pauliasi‘s son is in yr 7 this year and that he is a chip off the old block.

Agree! A lot of competition for places at SJC, some good players are going to miss out.

That could be a good sign for the Joeys 13's rugby teams this year, they won both divisions of the 100 and the hurdles, the 400 and I think the 800 division plus the 4 x 100m. I hope they are all rugby players. At Joeys there is at least an 80% chance they are.

I watched the Grammar 13A’s play Joeys 13B’s last year. They were very strong, could have held their own in the A comp. sadly they don’t get the chance anymore.
