    CAS 2018

Personally, I think the cross-association pre-CAS season games have benefitted CAS enormously in a very short period of time. Last year Waverley racked up some big scores against their GPS cousins and this year Barker and to a lesser extent Waverley did very well. Trinity even knocked over...

Apparently Waverley didn't score. Think you meant to say Barker College highlights - false advertising.

Aloys definitely have home ground advantage re OB behaviour - bloody long walk from nearest pub (Willoughby Hotel ?).

Stab in the dark here, but given your team selection and your Gordon logo I'm assuming you live north of the harbour. Waverley haven't really gelled as a team but have really only been bettered by Scots - lost to SIC but both were experimenting with players & it still came down to the wire...

    CAS 2018

Good day for waves v Knox at Warrawee. Waverley won all Opens and 16A, B and D. While good from one perspective, it is a bit of a concern (from a broader rugby perspective) that a school with a proud rugby tradition and such enormous numbers of students in each year can't produce better team...

I thought Tadgh Murphy was MoM but doesn't get a look in ? Apart from that pretty close to the money.

    CAS 2018

Shudder to think what the score would have been if Lathan H-W had played. Waverley played well, rather than fantastically. Knox were pedestrian in so many areas. No lack of effort on the part of Knox, just creativity. They shuffled the ball rather than tried to run into gaps, whereas Waverley...

    CAS 2018

Very good post and must agree with much of what you say. The only uncertain element is the fact that I get the sense that Waverley has used the trials to trial, whereas Barker may have used the trials to confirm. Whether this will have an impact at the end of the day we'll know in a few weeks...

    CAS 2018

I think the improved results from CAS schools against GPS schools over the year groups is a direct result of this new 'mixed trial' concept. I k now from a Waverley perspective that the more you play these schools the less 'strange' it becomes and the results appear to reflect this normalcy...

    NSW AAGPS 2018

41-10. Waverley did indeed score on the bell (from a tap inside their 22 and probably try of the day). Shore also scooped up a loose pass inside their 22 & a winger ran length of the field against the run of play so probably even (although not in terms of crowd fulfilment). Waverley were caned...

    CAS 2018

Waverley 41-10 over Shore. Not sure what it was like elsewhere but for long periods it seemed like Death Valley was an absolutely appropriate description of the QP venue as it was very, very dark, very windy and very, very cold (the 2nds went to Waverley 3-0- and the 3rds to Shore 5-0 so it...

    CAS 2018

Very solid win for waves at Stanmore today. Very tight at oranges - 19/17 Waverley which was probably a reflection of the game. Second half was different as the score line suggests with Waverley kicking on and scoring some pretty soft tries. The Bell vs Moretti duelling No 8 battle was great to...

    NSW AAGPS 2018

I think Newington v SBHS 14s/15s games are both at QP along with the rest of the Waverley v Newington fixtures in those age groups in order to make things easier for the age group and perhaps to ease congestion at Newington. Sounds a sensible solution.

    CAS 2018

I think the one round competition with the extended 'trials' is a very good thing. It opens up the wider rugby community to each other in the trial games and the one-round competition is more likely to allow for some upsets than the grind of a two-round comp which always told against less strong...

    NSW AAGPS 2018

Yes, it wasn't a classic battle. Waverley did butcher a couple of tries and when you're playing a team bigger 'n better than you, you need to take every opportunity. Waverley still wouldn't have won I think but it would have been closer. I also thought that Waverley missed their captain...

    NSW AAGPS 2018

I mean, surely you need to have some sense of context. Scots were clearly the better team today and with a professional rugby staff and resources schools like Waverley could just dream about so it should be. But it's still schoolboy rugby so games still need to be won. Full credit to Scots...

Better find a new benchmark. Waverley 16A 38, Scots 16A 17. Looking forward to your uploaded video highlights for this one...

    CAS 2018

Broadly agree. Augustines have some serious size but their discipline let them down today. The 6, 15 and 10 (captain who got a yellow card) let the occasion get to them. Which was a shame as the 10 is clearly a very good player. Anyway, definitely a game of two halves. very even at half time...

Sounds like a good CAS U16s comp this year. Barker beat Kings, Waverley beat Riverview and Knox beat Shore in the 16As

Wow, touched a raw nerve there by the sounds of it. Obviously you're a tad embarrassed about criticism of your grammar. Still, pretty funny comeback - are you sure you're not in Year 10 somewhere as that could explain the grammatical errors and the level of (non) humour on display. Just askin'
