It's a good idea in principal but it won't happen. Grade 10 immersion pretty much makes an u15 trophy pointless. There's a host of other reasons too, but you get the idea.

Well it's pretty much unprovable given even the official GPS stats are missing games.

TSS and GT won more games than NC across each age group and team in 2013. That doesn't count the teams that never played another school in a proper round game like the Gs however.

You talk like its a zero sum game. NC would be very competitive with their depth if they stopped pursuing quality players. That is a fact. But they would not be as dominant. Period. It also wasn't a throw away line, rather a fact.

This is why Nudgee is often referred to as the Queensland Institute of Sport. It's ok, if that's what they want to do ... As long as the kids know this is why they're winning. Not because of great coaching or exceptional effort.

Even the contracts mean little, they don't amount to much money either. If you ask me, being on one of those "contracts" isn't worth much. Needless to say however the NC u14 A side are good. It's a shame all that talent goes to one school rather than spread around. These boys won't learn...
