Am I alone in thinking Faessler can be thankful Uelese got injured as it let him show Eddie how good he is? Otherwise I fear he would have gone the same way as poor Ryan Lonergan and get dropped without playing a game.

Really impressed with Faessler. Not played for ages and called in at the last minute then played 70 odd minutes. Solid across the park.

So? Faessler was the form hooker in Super Rugby and Eddie obviously sees something in him, otherwise why have him in camp for so long? However, I am bewildered why he hasn't been given a run, even off the bench. Just as I am bewildered by the others in the squad who haven't had game time...

Surely it's time to give Faessler a run to see how he goes. He is a great thrower and was very good at the back of the maul for the Reds. If he's not the third hooker, then why has he been in the squad for the past month. If he is the third best, do we really want him going to the World Cup not...

Surely if he had no intention of playing Faessler then he should have released him for the Australia A game. Now four hookers get a chance to impress before the squad is picked for All Blacks, while Faessler is left holding tackle bags.

I would be interested to see how he scrums with two top level props and world class locks alongside him, areas in which the Reds were sadly lacking this year.

I am impressed with Burey, but also really impressed with how well he and Stewart work together, and how well Stewart and Spink work together. When you combine Burey, Stewart and Spink, the Force have a very impressive spine to the backline.
