BS - "Thorn's involvement certainly has ended a lot of good careers around Gunnies age 23/24 ish." Reg - after bolding the above line " really? Who?" BS - "Not sure but the amount of young QLD backrowers that has been blooded at Super level and not made it recently is staggering; Browning...

Hegarty was pegged at as a 10, but couldn't crack the starting gig. However - he has the 2nd playmaker ability, is a tenacious deferender and has a boot - along with some SERIOUS speed, hence the games he has played at FB have been very good. Like a fast jono lance (whereas lance was seriously slow)

That bit of nous we need in the outside backs. Goodo.

    Aussie Player Exodus

Is he angry? Does he not value the jersey? Or perhaps he is enjoying earning double or even triple the coin in japan for a shorter and less intense season? If Higs got 1 million a season, surely mcmahon is similar. I tell you right now, if most people had their salary doubled or tripled...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Scotty J. will be used to assess the assistants I reckon - to see who is a chance of staying on, or who would be beneficial to be redistributed to states after 2019. Johnson will be looking for a new team most likely, and I'm thinking that guys like Wisemantel and Taylor will be at the top of...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Haha no, it was the opening line for a couriermail/daily telegraph article. It was the first one released regarding it all. Needed subscription.

I think most would agree that having played a position does not mean one is proven in that position. If anything, it could have proven it was a bad idea.

Getting great outside talent if wonderful, but not if you don't have tactical nous to employ them effectively. I think we still need a solid, experienced campaigner in a position of tactical decision making to be a foil for the young and relatively inexperienced DP and Stewart.

I know a AFL marketing person - used to do Rugby. Says the AFL is ridiculously more professional. There was a forum in Melbourne where all leading teams share advice and secrets. Something like that video, they prepare the script and the content etc, then 1 person just goes down at gets all the...

Stewart stuff aside, how on this little blue and green ball we live on possibly say that Maddocks in one of the 2 most talented 10's in the land? When has he ever steered a team to a victory at 10, let alone done it on a consistent basis?

    Wallabies v Italy

watching AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) involved just reinforces my view we are lacking in Rugby IQ. Those preaching for Kerevi 12 and Petaia 13 are forgetting the sheer brain power required to excel as a combination at the highest levels. I think AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) was fantastic clearly because he was involved in organising and...

    Wallabies 2018 Spring Tour

Inherit? He took over in 2015....Inheriting rubbish would only be valid if a) the wallabies were 7th when he took over, not him taking them down to 7th over 3 years and b) if it was a squad he didn't have a say in building. Which he did, it's his squad which he has built.

Yes he did, had a good career, so not a great example. More around an example (aus seems to be full of them) of young superstars who don't end up being professional superstars. Schatz got to about journeyman level, couple wallaby games at 24, cast from the reds by 25, handful of games for rebels...
