    Shute Shield 2025

I genuinely think who ever has the most money will consistently win. Clubs have done well to be competitive over the last few years which is great, but it generally wont be anything other than being competitive. Souths have lost their young waratahs back (ropata). It doesnt leave many...

    Shute Shield 2025

I think you can expect Uni, Randwick and Easts to get much better as I hear theyve signed all of the non sydney waratahs players

    Shute Shield 2025

heard 3 of their hookers gone, carmichael, frean and connolly. prop back to uk, another prop retired, 2 locks gone (1 overseas and 1 back to nz), fijian 7 and the 8 gone, 2 10s and their winger/13 gone. Will def be a rebuild for eastwood but they have plenty cash and good colts coming through...

    Shute Shield 2025

I believe norths have replaced him with the eastwood 10 from this year. a fair few from eastwood have gone to norths, souths and parra.

    Shute Shield 2025

Yes, which is why most of those guys end up at the richer clubs True, they may all spend that. I would say Souths, Two Blues and Wests probably wont get anywhere near that money on players. But the other clubs probably get there, if not far off it.

    Shute Shield 2025

250k can go a hell of a long way for salary match payments. say if a team says were going to give you $500 per first grade game you start, for the starting 15 team, and then $250 if you are a bench player - thats roughly $170k for the season. leaves you $80k to spend on giving cash to sign a...

    Shute Shield 2025

Whats the gossip on the player transfers and moves so far? Heard uni have thrown plenty of $$ around at players. Also have heard eastwood have lost a hell of a lot of players whilst easts spending some profit to go back to back. its going to be an exciting season

    Waratahs 2025

a crazy comment maybe, but i wouldnt mind seeing the two blues 10 get a full pre-season with tahs and see what he can do. i believe a lot of his stats were better than bowen and gibbs this year and he was in the run for catchpole medal before injury as well as top point scorer. still 23 i think...

    Shute Shield 2024

someone could be telling me lies, but its a pretty good source, i heard uni and easts big advocates and pushed on no player points and instead a foreign player limit, which looks like it will be implemented by september 1st this year. i think you'd see the potential end of a couple of clubs over...

    Shute Shield 2024

heard they are scrapping the whole system for 2025, no player caps at all. open slather in a dog eat dog world, survival of the fittest. which to me means the rich clubs will win.

    Sydney Subbies 2024

plus the fullback was capped internationally for tonga last week. wonder how many current internationals are running around in subbies div 2

    Sydney Subbies 2024

I still think Briars will take the comp out in their division. You take 6/7 players from 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade shute shield team who all know each other really well and they gonna take out a division 2 subbies comp.

    Shute Shield 2024

And the bench I hear is immense. Teddy Wilson, Will Harris, Chris Bell, absolute star studded team, and I think it's awesome to see in Shute.

    Shute Shield 2024

Surely top 6 is locked in now, looking at the draw of games for 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, the teams in 5th and 6th arent going to get caught.

    Sydney Subbies 2024

the ex two blues 7s coach is now 7s coach of briars ladies but convinced all those lads to join briars. briars are paying for them all to travel overseas representing briars in 7s comps. they play for briars when not playing 7s. 1 of them is with tonga this week in germany for 7s. the briars...

    Waratahs 2025

As a complete guessing fella, I wud say RA know the rebels are gone, will ship half their players to Sydney, including their coach and most of his coaching group over to tah land. Wilkin is from Sydney uni, Cabous played for Randwick, Uelese played for Gordon, Canham i think was at Eastwood...

    Shute Shield 2024

GB pre=season normally starts in July/August so I would say those players going abroad will leave just before finals even if they do play, but imagine they have these 2-3 year overseas contracts and then get injured during shute shield - big risk to take. seems to be a mass exodus from tahs to...
