Depth is really becoming a factor: -TSS 8 and 15 gone for season.13 out injured; -IGS 15 injured last week; -BBC 8 gone for season -3,5 and 9 out injured last week. Not sure about NC. I hear Fifita back this week (maybe) .Any news on others?

I was disappointed in Southport on Saturday-very disjointed. It seems to me: -BBC & ACGS are better than I though; -TSS and NC are not as good as I thougth. BUT TSS are getting very regular at still FINDING a way to win the close ones.

We will get a better idea of overall strengths when TSS play ACGS at home this week. TSS tight 5 went better than I had expected. What I have seen from last 2 years -and again what I hear happened on Saturday is that ACGS is a well drilled, minimal mistakes, play field position team. With pick &...

I see Websters dictionary has a new definition of the word "Clusterfuck". Defined as BSHS tennis program. What a mess -kids playing in boardshorts & teams not turning up.No teachers anywhere to be seen.

Well said - I agree 100%. I liked the way it was a "whole of school documentary."If what I hear is right -and both Steve & Totai Kefu are coaching at BBC this year-then that is a hell of a coaching set up.Wonder if big bad Brad Thorn will help out- as he has some boys there. My money on TSS (...

The boy you are suggesting is the Walker clone was 15 A 10 last year and scored a heap of tries. He will be in Qld under 16 SOO team for sure.I expect him to play 9 in 1st xv. Not sure about NZ boys . There is a new prop but the other 2 were brothers and here last year.

[ BGS who also do not engage in the rugby scholarship arms race that some other schools do. They do engage in Rugby scholarships (3 in the 16 As last year) Hamiso (now with Cowboys) the 3/10/12 in 2018- etc but certainly not to same extent. But who cares -each school has its own...

Am I right in saying: 1) no returning Aussie schoolboys /under 18 players this year; 2) Howath is Aussie under 18 Aussie RL and BSHS have 2 in Qld under 16 SOO team; 3) importantly- Ramano (BBC) is the only returning Qld 18 forward from team that won nationals last year ?

Speaking to the TSS boys (3) and BBC boys (4) in the Qld under 16 Maroon team -they all said Nick Baker had a blinder of a carnival.

I agree with you -but 3 things worry me: 1)defence wins the big matches-and I think BBC has best defence stats in comp; 2) BBC coming off a hard match- and TSS not been tested since NC(where to be fair TSS backs were skittish); 3) the x factor of BBC 12,13 and the boy that was 15 last year-on...
