    Sydney Subbies 2020

It's been pointed out to me that a message went out to subbies clubs were sent an updated covid plan before the match which more or less the junior system of 'play, and piss off' And they have have just been following that advice. With that said, I withdraw my earlier comments, and sorry to...

    Sydney Subbies 2020

Nothing really. They just stood in their own group having a beer after the game, up in the corner of the field.

There's also a statement up on their page about them being threatened with being kicked out following the game the previous week against Irish. It claims they'll be fining players who are carded. Such a shame, the risk you run when you try to grow the club.

    Sydney Subbies 2020

That week 1 game with combined forces against Sea Lice was called early due to injury, so that scoreline coulda blown out if the game went the full 80 as the Lice were goin downhill in 2nd hald and starting to take control. Oysters have really announced themselves. Shame about the forfeit in...

Most of those poor buggers break out in a rash when they have to cross the bridge too.

    Rugby World Cup 2019

If you want to get technical, yes you're right. October is the absolute outer reaches of typhoon season. But they don't always run that late. The olympics next year, is smack bang in the middle of peak season. In addition to that, it's not that common for them to come up alongside the east...

The Haka? Is it performed too often

It came very very close to getting physical one time(think between AB's and Tonga) So the IRB being the 'rex hunts' that they are, decided to step in and remove all character and fun from the game.

    Rugby World Cup 2019

It wasn't typhoon season. They were meant to have stopped a month before the tournament started. Trouble is, you can never predict how late the season will run.

RWC 2019 Final: England v South Africa

I'm happy to hear it. I remember my father even telling me years ago, that when he was managing a team of South Africans, one of them(who was of English descent) warned him the other may resent him for being an Australian, as the Afrikaans still had a bee in their bonnet about Australia...

RWC 2019 Final: England v South Africa

Massively misunderstood, even by rugby players. I remember when I played, I'd turn around to the 2 locks(if 1 was big and 1 was lean) and go, 'what the fvck are you 2 doing, changes sides'. Every time subs came on I had to make sure they were packing in the right spots. No fvckin clue.

RWC 2019 Final: England v South Africa

Actually, getting well off track now. But Kagoshima is where the Saffers were based for the cup. The Satsuma fought and beat the brits there. I wonder if there was a reason for them choosing the area, that had historical significance. I've actually visited this area many times...

RWC 2019 Final: England v South Africa

Some pom was telling me in Tokyo(3 weeks ago), yeah they're big and strong, but they don't use it often enough on the field. Bet he's felling like a right twat(to use their own vernacular) now.

RWC 2019 Final: England v South Africa

That's crept into the game though, I think refs are letting defences stand offside, as a result, the halves, are holding the ball, trying to bait the defence into going early. One thing I'd like to see them sort out in off season, get the defence lines back and get some quick ball out of rucks.

RWC 2019 Final: England v South Africa

I have to agree with that. Some of the rules with how they pack, have taken a lot of that out of the game. But that was a good old fashion suffocation job, starting with the demolition job on the english scrum. Even some guys that I used to play with(backs of course) needed it explained how...

The Haka? Is it performed too often

Form the article you posted, not a whole lot of difference between what he(he being a former all black) says, and what I said: Karam, who played 42 games (10 tests) for the All Blacks from 1972-75, said he would like to see it go back to a similar system. "This is not meant with any disrespect...

The Haka? Is it performed too often

What's the problem? You started the thread and now you don't want people to talk about it. I never bagged anyone. Does Vladimir Putin secretly run this site?

The Haka? Is it performed too often

I was aware of all that. The team I played for was very multicultural, with a strong kiwi influence. But what haka are they actually doing? Because super rugby sides stretch across regions, and many players are from other super rugby areas anyway. I can understand if it was a local team, with...
