3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

Yes this is true and I hope that they get games there but I think NSO should get an equal share, you don't want to isolate the north shore like the northern eagles did, I guess these are the type of problems joint ventures are going to have.

    Shute Shield 2013

Why are the students who finished 2nd playing Manly who finished 3rd at Manly Oval. Also why is Easts vs Norths being played at Chatswood. Is it a ground availability issue

    Shute Shield 2013

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2013

Me and a mate are planning on heading down to the Joeys/Riverview game. The online draw I saw only shows the date not the time or venue. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks

    Shute Shield 2013

I think the guys on the south end at Chatswood Oval broke the record for the amount of relentless sledging against Tom Carter

    Shute Shield 2013

Really enjoy the northern beaches derbies. Looks like it always gets a big turnout. I wish the older North Shore, Gordon vs Norths or Eastern Suburbs Randwick vs Easts or Battle of the West rivalries had the same attraction.

Choose 4 clubs would you include in a national comp

The thread isn't about discussing models or the reasons of why we want a third tier etc etc it's not meant to be that heavy, there's already plenty of that discussion on this forum. Simply asking which teams should get selected for a professional comp if it ever came down to it. Big call! UTS...

Choose 4 clubs would you include in a national comp

Was reading an article on Fox Sports about the repeatedly talked about issue of the third tier. One of the suggestions was picking 4 clubs from Sydney and 4 clubs from Brisbane and then the winners play off. The question is which existing 4 clubs deserve to get the nod if a national comp ever...

    Shute Shield 2012

Felt sorry for the Norths club today, not on the scoreboard but because they have done a lot to promote their games this year. They have lowered ees to $10 a game and for the derby against Gordon they had free entry cut-out vouchers in the North Shore Times, then it rained...

    Shute Shield 2012

Honestly I don't know any specific figure. It just looked like a large crowd. I had a look at the grandstand a few times, I thought it was more like half full but I couldnt disagree with 1/3. I'm often horrible at estimating but I was thinking between 1,500 and 2,500 overall. What would you...

    Shute Shield 2012

Eastwood's consistently large crowds lead me to think that they might have a higher home crowd average then the Gold Coast got at Skilled Park in the A-League. Well done to them.

    Shute Shield 2012

Call by the ground announcer at Chatswood Oval just before the 2nd half "Would parents please take your kids from the field, we would love to see them on there for Gordon in 15 to 18 years.. if Sydney University doesn't take them." Ouch.

    Shute Shield 2012

Thanks for that mate, don't think I would have found that. Was wondering why there were fairly professional cameras recording the Warringah/Gordon game last week.

    Shute Shield 2012

Very dissapointing result for Parramatta. Nice day out at Warriewood for the Gordon/Warringah match always nice to watch footy there. Nice and close to the action with reasonable crowds.

Gordon won all grades against Warringah. I admire the effort guess 4am is better then nothin'

    Shute Shield 2012

No shock here. Norths vs Eastwood will be the match of the day for round 1 at the normal time 3pm sat afternoon. Also if you live interstate ABC will now be airing replays of games nationally at.... 4am

    Shute Shield 2012

Fair question, hypothetically if the Waratahs didnt make the finals, their final match would be on July 14th, the week that round 12 of the shute shield concludes which means he could play 4-5 rounds for Gordon of the regular comp obviously more if Gordon actually made the finals. Does anyone...

    Shute Shield 2012

Pretorius (Yes the one playing for the Waratahs) to Gordon. Finally some positive news for the team.

    Shute Shield 2012

True for some. But for the most part school students who move onto tertiary education will still live at home with their parents which in most cases is the area where they went to school. I think playing for a team closer to where one lives would be just as important as playing for a team close...
