    Waratahs 2020

You need Rodda but not as badly as the Rebels, and the Brumbies have Douglas, Enever and Neville coming off contract which frees up $$ Going to be a tustle! Side bonus, Douglas, Enever and Neville also potentially available.

They also told Quade he, in their eyes, was the no.5 Flyhalf at their disposal. So 2 guys in the team they considered better, and 2 guys out in club land.

    Reds 2020

AGREED. Also yes, if we are talking an Australian XV who are eligible then yes Rodda is a lock in for the lock spot. BUT he has now cancelled his contract soooo technically not eligible anymore! Australias eligible NO.1 Locking combination is now probably Phillips and LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto), backed up by...

Are they ACT based locks? Not familiar.

    Reds 2020

comment about referring to Rodda as Word XV standard. If we had an open team, he'd be pushed be Australian XV.

    Reds 2020

Australias best starting lock combo would be Arnold and Skelton.

    Reds 2020

Yes sorry, brumbies article said 2019, but in fact was 2017.

    Reds 2020

People seem to be happy when they go to Brumbies, but if all these continue as is, how do they have room? Enever, Douglas, Frost, Swain & Neville. All quite solid. Rebels surely as DESPERATE for a quality lock and a leader with Phillips and Jones going. Brumbies have Swain and Frost longer...

    Reds 2020

He could offer his services to the Reds at a casual and highly reduced rate so they can afford him, then supplement his income by proving he has lost >30% of his income to receive job keeper. Might not be huge but it's money. BUT I'm not a CFO or an accountant. I hope he gets a job and I...

    Reds 2020

There may very well be a whole bunch of others out there who intend on leaving as soon as they can, but no point jumping ship on a contract now when there is not that many contracts being made available anywhere. You could play Super rugby and several tests for the wallabies THEN talk about...

Weird about Lucas....what has changed since they gave him his long contract to 2023....? Does Thorn not like him? They would have to pay his contract out, unless its more about he won't get much game time.

    Reds 2020

Just one of the news articles mentioned friction between Rodda and Thorn - I felt it eluded to ongoing friction, not friction caused by not signing. Rodda also didnt keep it secret missing out on the captaincy confuddles him.

    Reds 2020

Rodda will probably just take his sabbatical now, but also seems he doesn't want to be a Red? Tahs and Rebels would be desperate to get him and seems he (joining a long line) has a problem with Thorn - probably missing out on captaincy related. Hockings and Lucas may think they can leave now...

When and where was this said?

    Reds 2020

There is absolutely a place - just no money! Without an RA top up (of which there aren't that many to go around) then the salary on offer is significantly reduced and easily overshadowed by just about anywhere overseas.

    Reds 2020

Reds have Wright & Mcreight Tahs have Hoops & Tizzano Rebels are an option with the very average Hardwick & Wilkins very easily being on a chopping block Brumbies are an option with only Miller supported by kiwi Brown. If Twiggy was serious when saying he wanted top 50 players playing for...

    Aussie Player Exodus

Who would you say is in the RA top 10 most wanted? It would be tough balancing locking in future stars with current and necessary talent. I;d say an crosscut of positions aswell

    Aussie Player Exodus

All of these 3 departures have nothing to do with the financial woes. Ridiculous.

    Wallabies 2020

Didn't Wilson play 6 for U20 with Harris @ 8 & Mcreight @ 7? Preferred Locks were Hosea & Wood (who is a normal 6), with Frost, Haangana, Tafa and Tizzano on the extended bench?

    Wallabies 2020

Someone on WTF labelled the Beale and Jones departure as the start of the new exodus....fairly sure they were going anyway. Both out of contract, both not going to get a National top up so both could easy double their money over there. I see some good news here (at least financially). All the...
