    Wallabies 2020

Yeh but Kafe list rules out some of those players, so you can't include them. He wouldn't select Sio, Ala'alatoa, Hoops, To'omua or Koroibete

    Wallabies 2020

Props and # 12. You're kidding. I get the concept but building a team now for 7 years away....bit much. He talked about the young guys already have a culture of winning, well a fantastic way to stuff that up, is to throw them to the wolves too early without experienced support and watch...

    Wallabies 2020

There is no doubt that Simmons is one of, if not THE the best set piece forwards in Australia. Thats scrums and lineouts. This is my opinion and the opinion of a recent wallaby tight 5 forward. Victor Matfield wasn't an enforcer or a hit merchant, Bakkies was. Matfield was the set piece...

State of the Union (origin) discussion

Nah If nothing else, theyd struggle at set piece. Fainga'a, Sio, Slipper, Ala'alatoa, Tupou, LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto), Simmons, phillips as the tight 5 options make it hard for the likes of....HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes), Pone, Blyth. Backline less lopsided but not good. 9. White. 10. JOC (James O'Connor) 11. Koroibete 12. To'omua 13. TK 14...

    Waratahs 2021

Definitely not saying he is a quality player - he is mediocre. But mediocre is better then nothing, and nothing is what the Waratahs have. HOPEFULLY the 20 yr olds will come thorugh and be stronger eventually, but they didnt get to play U20 this year so we really have no idea, so in the absence...

    Waratahs 2021

A squad should have 4 locks PLUS a development squad lock. Next year it will probably be Mccauley, Staniforth, Holloway and then the 2 development locks (from 2020) in Williams and Douglas. Not exactly good reading, but better with staniforth then without.

    Reds 2020

Was talking about the lineout to my Friends, who claimed because Brad Thorn was a second rower, he should be all over coaching lineouts. I disagree - To me, lineouts are as specialist as scrums or mauls. Brumbies and Reds lineouts are struggling. Brumbies have a pretty inexperienced selection...

    Wallabies 2020

Expect Wilson to be the one who misses out more often then most in 2020 - especially against the AB's. Give the young gun some space and time.

Super Rugby AU Team of the Week

It also had Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) from teh Tahs in the squad... Also 8 backrowers, 4 of whom were Wright, Hoops, Mcreight and even Will Miller - But not room for Valetini.

Super Rugby AU Team of the Week

I saw one one on an article on theroar.com.au Worst team. Rubbish.

    Wallabies 2020

TBH i Thiknk a 6/2 split is the way to go. Forwards is where we have a chance to overcome the AB's. A slim chance, but a chance nonetheless. A steayd onslaught of large, dynamic, dangerous hitters and runners is what we need to get in a scoring position.

    Wallabies 2020

One of the reasons i love the backrow options now in Valetini, Wilson and Naisarani. Because they are still tall for a 3rd jumping option, all quite fast for 110kg plus forwards, so dynamic, have high force in their hits and runs, yet still the stats are showing they have high workrates and are...

    Reds 2021

Well the recent 19 and 20 yr old standout 10s through the school system in Brisbane were....Pasitoa, Gordon and Lolesio. Uh Oh.... mmmmmaybe Pasitoa is coming back! Brumbies already have Lolesio and Kuenzle. orrrrrr back to the future with Lance? orrrrrr Strachan returns from WF duty?

    Wallabies 2020

Set piece gurus, workrate grinders, hit men and dynamic runners. I agree. Guys who make alot of tackles, get to alot of breakdowns, alot of the unsexy work. Guys who do that but won't necessarily make the dynamic runs or the bone shattering hits. Workrate > Impact. But in the last couple of...

    Wallabies 2020

Oh I know - i'm thinking more along the lines of the player pofile combinations. Cheika, who always wanted a power game, kept picking weird combos. He would Start Simmons and Rodda, with Hanigan at 6, then ask Higgers to be the power 8, when everyone knows Higs strength was a a dynamic, wide...

    Wallabies 2020

With bigger backrowers with more running power then Cheika picked (Who insisted going with Hanigan and Dempsey), MAYBE we don't NEED the power of Skelton - but dang it would be pretty usefull If you had Rodda and Arnold start as locks you would need a 6/8 combo featuring 2 of...

    Reds 2021

I really don't know how this backline would work.. alot of fire power, but perhaps lacking in the play making/ position nous/ tactical kicking elements. Bench would be important to bring a different shape to the game. Feel bad for CFS but need the 10/12/15 covered on the bench as Petaia can...

    Wallabies 2020

I can see the Wallabies spending alot of time at Ballymore which is how it should be and could be with the new development plans

    Wallabies 2020

Rodda was wanted and offered contracts by the Rebels, Brumbies and Force. RA said no. I hope he comes back and goes to the Rebels who either need to restock their players (as they will be losing a bunch more) or be folded.

Super Rugby AU Team of the Week

Some may say - but the Brumbies won, but it's tough to make individual selections based on a pack effort (mauls)
