I had forgotten Kerevi was even in the frame for selection.

I could easily see McReight being a long term captain. He led the U/20's too, which means he has some experience in that role.

    Round 5 : Force v Reds - Perth

I'm more than a bit scared about what the Reds might do to us this weekend.

These mostly look like good changes. I was only thinking on the weekend that we should remove the option to have another scrum after a bent-arm penalty.

I personally think there is more upside with Gordon at 10, though the goal kicking is a worry because it's critical at test level. Who else could we pick in the back line to cover that requirement?

I think Harry's game has elevated this year, at least what I've seen of it. He seems to be a bit smarter with his running angles and looking to get a short ball off to the support players. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him in a Wallaby 23 this season.

Agree on the commentators. The footy has been fantastic in this tournament though, especially from Italy.

Round 4: Western Force v Moana Pasifika 15/03/2024

I think our attack has been pretty good, but we're struggling at the breakdown and have been inaccurate at the set piece. Changing our 10 won't fix any of that.

All three of those games will be a stern test of our pigs, which is excellent.

I've loved Harry Wilson's work for the Reds too. No argument about the other two spots though. McReight in particular has been immense.

Yeah I'd imagine there isn't a lot of paint left on those changing room walls.

Round 4: Western Force v Moana Pasifika 15/03/2024

We were dire tonight, especially in the second half. I actually thought we were the better side in the first half, but our work at the break down and handling were poor. Missing a truck load of tackles didn't help either. We had chances but our lack of accuracy let us down big time. Benny D is...

Great appointments. Waugh and co. have ticked a lot of boxes in terms of hiring recently

Gee whiz that's tough on Kane. His housemate is a shit bloke IMHO

Pretty good weekend for his family

Round 3: Reds vs Chiefs, 6:45pm AEST - Saturday 9th of March @ Suncorp

Great win for the Reds, gutsy as hell, especially in those last few minutes camped on their own line. It's the kind of game that builds belief in the squad. They looked knackered in the last 10-15 minutes, when passes weren't going to hand, the pack started walking between phases and dropping...

You're right of course, I think a few of us who've seen more than a few review documents are extracting the Michael a bit. The intent and analysis is right I think, I now want to see a concrete implementation plan (though I also acknowledge that some steps have already been taken).

That fucking word is a pet hate of mine. It's LESSONS, not learnings.

Could have worked some "synergies" in there too.

There is a strong whiff of corporate speak motherhood statement guff about it, no doubt. I don't disagree with the goals though. What is required now is a roadmap of implementation steps, with defined milestones and measurable outcomes. In my experience of the corporate world (I've been both a...
