Shame he got injured and couldn't tour. He was definitely meant to play.

    Wallabies 2021

I wonder if he will look to return to Australia then. Though we do have some good options who havn't aged out - Ala'alatoa, Tupou and Pona. But the Tahs could use him, as could the Force. Depends how much they like him in camp. Annoucning for Aus is a big deal for him coz he was eligible over...

Scotland vs Australia - Murrayfield, 8 Nov 1:15AM AEDT

Beale and Perese both lost it in contact twice. I think in the first half the wallabies were guilty of cheikaball. What's the point of having massive runners in Leota and Valetini, with the collision impact of arnold, and then two even bigger runners on the bench Skelton and Tupou, if you...

Scotland vs Australia - Murrayfield, 8 Nov 1:15AM AEDT

I think we need the lineout and close engagement work of Swinton over Leota.

If HIA protocols keep tupou out for next week, Robertson will cover THP. Let's hope noone gets injured at training because no, there is no THP aussie in europe. Holmes didn't want to tour and Faamausili was injured.

    Rebels 2022

Could do a Bundee Aki and be in and around for a couple years yet before suddenly being BAM - a point of difference for them.

Interesting going for a 6/2 split I would prefer Leota > Philip. Just that extra utility to cover the 6 and lock if required. I don't think bench covering BOTH locks but only 1/3 backrowers is the most efficient.

    Rebels 2022

I think the gordon/To'omua 10/12 was fine for Super Rugby. Ili had his moments but the rebels also had the form wingers in Koroibete and Kellaway. They needed to go hard at a WOW 13 or replacement wing but instead got more developing players. Not unexpected, but still, a significant reduction in quality...

Go forward v lineout as their point of difference over each other. Rennie picked Leota over swinton because he wanted the go forward. But if Skelton starts then you need the lineout more then the go forward for your no.6

If they need a 6th backrower (which I doubt they'll bother) They will probably use Dempsey.

    Wallabies 2021

No quarantine required He wasn't taken because he was the 3rd flyhalf, a role hodge was easily filling. The kid needs to be in the gym, not holding tackle bag. Noone knew they would lose the 1st and 3rd option tour flyhalves the week they arrive.

    Wallabies 2021

I think the thought around Duncan is that they really need another 10 in the training squad, even if they never make the match day squad. What happens if JOC (James O'Connor) get's injured V scotland? They will bring in mutliple players most likely, it's not just about the best 23.

    Wallabies 2021

I don't think so. He is going to look after himself so he can play for the wallabies at the big tests next year in Australia and at the WC in 2023. PLUS do what his japanese club wants and maximise earnings. Best of both worlds.
